I'd fancy the chances of Liverpool beating Man City in an 11-11 match, but as the Premier League has announced that Anthony Taylor will referee Man City v Liverpool, with Paul Tierney on VAR duty, then there will only be one possible outcome. They might as well have hired the Gallagher brothers as the linesmen & be done with it.

I remember 9 and also 10 seasons ago when Spurs looked likely to finish above Arsenal with a decent lead over them and a good chance of getting into the top 4 only for them to bottle it both times.
Now it appears to be going the other way. Arsenal haven't finished in the top 4 since 2016 and Spurs were last there in 2019 and have far more experience going into the run-in and it's Arsenal who are totally bottling it.
Next game Arsenal are away at Southampton who just got thumped 6-0 and haven't won for a while. Surely Arsenal have to win there..

I'd fancy the chances of Liverpool beating Man City in an 11-11 match, but as the Premier League has announced that Anthony Taylor will referee Man City v Liverpool, with Paul Tierney on VAR duty, then there will only be one possible outcome. They might as well have hired the Gallagher brothers as the linesmen & be done with it. and so the only "key" decision went in Liverpool's favour with Sterling's potential goal being ruled out for a narrow offside. Over the years, Liverpool have had loads of favourable decisions, particularly against smaller teams, including Manchester City when they were such a team. I particularly remember the penalty they were given exactly 40 years ago yesterday. Liverpool went on to win 5-0 that day and they were already 1-0 up before that award, but clearly it killed off Manchester City's chances of a comeback. Of course it would be Liverpool a point ahead at this point had your local rivals been given a clear penalty for handball in their game against Manchester City (assuming they'd scored it).
