11. Inhaler - Cheer Up Baby
OK, almost top 10 time, these are all big hitters from now on, Inhaler had a great 2021, they had 4 songs in my top 108 so im running out of things to say about them, but this one was #1 in my chart for 2 weeks back in April

10. Teenage Wrist - Yellowbelly
The American alternative rock band from Los Angeles had a great 2020/2021 with the release of their second album "The Earth Is a Black Hole", from that album 2020 saw two releases "Earth Is a Black Hole" (2020) and "Taste of Gasoline" (2020) but the real gem on their new album was this track released early in 2021

8. Wet Leg - Wet Dream
My favourite Wet Leg song and a great follow up to "Chaise Longue", they are certainly one of the more interesting bands to break out in 2021. The band from the Isle of Wight, founded by Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers have a big 2022 ahead of them with a debut album and numerous festival offers. This was #1 in my chart for 2 weeks back in November

7. Palaye Royale - No Love In LA
No surprise to see these guys in my top 20, I've become a big fan over the last 2 or 3 years since TheThorne got me into "Dying In A Hotub". These guys are continuing where My Chemical Romance left off, this one was #1 for me for 3 weeks. Another success for Sumerian Records

6. CHVRCHES - Good Girls
"Good Girls" was the highlight of their most recent album "Screen Violence", it has such a good synth sound and Lauren's vocals on this one are amazing. Chvrches are so good live too so here is a live version, it was a #1 in my chart too

5. Sam Fender - Seventeen Going UnderTheThorne We share 5 of the same top 10, no surprise one of them is Sam Fender - Seventeen Going Under, it was the highlight of his new album, brutally honest and musically up there with the best songs on his debut album. Despite being released in July 2021 and charting at #44 it just peaked at #3 last week after trending on TikTok, it is sad that rock songs need to trend on TikTok to be a hit but its certainly welcome

4. The Vaccines - Back In Love City
Back in Love City is a huge synth pop song from the fifth studio album by English indie rock band the Vaccines, a concept album of sorts with a sci fi twist, this one topped my chart back in July

2. Beast In Black - Moonlight Rendezvous
At #2 we have Finnish-Greek-Hungarian heavy metal band "Beast In Black" with their unique blend of power metal and synth pop, "Moonlight Rendezvous" has an absolutely amazing music video too with human looking robots hunting older models in some dystopian Blade Runner style future, another song that topped my chart for 3 weeks

1. Creeper - Midnight
And finally my song of 2021 is no other than Southampton based horror/goth/emo rock band, musically and stylistically influenced by fellow "goth punk" groups including AFI these guys just keep getting better and better. This one is the perfect blend of gothic Belinda Carlisle meets Jim Steinman, huge song, should've been a huge hit, well it was for me anyway spending 3 weeks top of my chart, so that concludes my top 400

Amusing to see a Miley Cyrus cover at 17, and then a cover of Miley Cyrus at 16 I like Creeper but I've totally forgot to listen to their new stuff properly, I must do that.
