Thanks for that video Pablo that did make me laugh, never showboat until you're over the line! And this doping thing I dont get, she tested positive in december so why was she even at the games? You cant let someone win a medal and then say they failed a doping test last year! test them at the games! But maybe I've misunderstood something as I'm not au fait with the olympics and how the doping works.

With this drug test, I wonder what this means with "Russia" participation in future Olympic Games and also politically too...
Also wondering where a medal will come from for GB. Still early days in the curling but the skeleton results were disappointing

And yet footballers have "random" drugs tests and I'm sure it's less than a week?

Exactly. I think that's part of their investigation

Still early days in the curling but the skeleton results were disappointing I think there's now a very real possibility GB will end without a medal. The curling teams have been inconsistent so far and while I would expect at least one semi-final it's hard to be confident of a medal. There are a few other possibles like the freestyle skiing and bobsleigh but nothing that would be expected.

Not winning a single medal would be a bit embarrassing when prior to the games Team GB chiefs set their sights on their greatest ever Winter Olympics medal haul in this Winter Olympics
"With just over three weeks to go before the Games begin, the British Olympic Association and UK Sport are targeting between three and seven medals, a tally that could take the team past the record of five set in Sochi in 2014 and equalled in Pyeongchang in 2018"
I'm guessing covid has had a bigger impact than expected, I guess its harder to train in a country not natural set up for winter events and I'm sure a few potential medallists have refused to go in order to protest against China's human rights abuses but no medals would still be a bit embarrassing as everyone countries preparations have been hampered in some way

Agree, the results have been up and down but traditionally GB (and Scotland outside of the Olympics) are usually slow starters in round robin matches and you only need to qualify top 4 of the 10 teams to get into the semis. The matches they have lost - I mean it's wasn't a drubbing scoreline
GB women currently 5th and GB men are 3rd as they reach the half way point. I'm optimistic for a medal here but that could all change in the next few days.
