452 Astronomy For Dogs - The Aliens
Another debut record, the Aliens were a band formed by ex Beta Band member. This was still good and nice to hear after not playing it since it came out in 2007. Never knew they reformed and had a song last year.
451 Santi - The Academy Is...
As advised earlier here is the 2nd album from them and its another solid listen. It reached #32 in the US and just #94 in the Uk in 2007.

450 Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga - Spoon
This was probbaly the breakthrough album for Spoon certainly in the US. it was their 6th album but first US top 40 hit reaching #10 in 2007.
449 Alone With Everybody - Richard Ashcroft
First solo album for Richard Ashcroft and if you are a fan of later Verve this is pretty much more of the same, not really my thing these days but its still very good. It was a Uk number one and raeched #127 in the US in 2000.

Can't remember anything really about that Academy Is album, other than Bulls In Brooklyn which is amazing.

448 Contraband - Velvet Revolver
The debut album from the Guns n Roses members supergroup fronted by Scott Weiland. The album was a Us number one and UK #11 in 2004.
447 Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants - Oasis
First appearance for Oasis in the 00s and this is defintely their weakest record, I played it last week and barely remember it. It was a UK number one and #24 in the US in 2000.

446 Gorillaz - Gorillaz
Their debut album and a mixed bag some songs I love and others I have to skip but thats not unusual on a Gorillaz album to be fair. It reached #3 in the Uk and #14 in the US in 2001. 445 Figure 8 - Elliot SmithI know Razzle Dazzle is a fan and this one sneaked in as I had to remove an album, it wont be the last, and hunted for records I missed and this fitted the placing for me. His 5th album and the one where I got into him.It reached #37 in the Uk and #99 in the US in 2000.

444 In Rainbows - Radiohead
I don't often listen Radiohead albums these days but i actually enjoyed hearing this last week. This was their 7th album relaesed in 2007 as a pay what you want, think I gave them £2. It was a number one in the Uk and US.
443 Sleeping With Ghosts - Placebo
I didnt enjoy this as much as I did at the time, in fact I think I like their new record more, its just a bit too dark I think for me right now. It reached #11 in the Uk in 2003.

Gorillaz never really landed with me at all to be honest, don't think I ever bought an album of theirs. I eventually warmed to 'Clint Eastwood' years later. 'Sleeping With Ghosts' was the first album I ever reviewed for my school paper! It was also the first Placebo album I bought. Other than the singles (loved 'The Bitter End' and also 'This Picture') I wasn't a huge fan! My main memory is that I said that the title of 'Something Rotten' was appropriate Their new one is better for me. 'In Rainbows' is one I haven't listened to for a long time - think I need to revisit it soon as I don't remember it all that well beyond generally positive impressions (and 'Jigsaw...' which is great).

Yeah Figure 8 has a much fuller sound, added loads of depth, keyboards etc, Son of Sam, Happiness, Junk Bond Trader are all great, Ironically it was probably his most upbeat, certainly the least melancholy record, I need to catch up on these, havent checked in for a few weeks

I agree with what GD said - Gorillaz never really did anything for me, and the Placebo album has great singles and that's about it.
Velvet Revolver are fine, but it used to annoy me that they got such big slots at festivals with one album under their belt just because of who they are, when the music didn't really deserve it. Slither and Fall To Pieces are great songs though.

442 For Lack Of A Better Name - deadmau5
First of two albums for him, the other one will be much higher. This was his 4th album and it reached #19 in the Uk in 2008.
441 Sub Focus - Sub Focus
More dance music and this is the debut album from Sub Focus. It reached #51 in 2009.

440 The Warning - Hot Chip
And another one, this was Hot Chip's second album and their breakthrough. It reached #34 in the Uk in 2006.
439 Billy Talent II - Billy Talent
I said we wouldnt have to wait too long for more Billy talent. Not surprisngly this was their second album. It reached #46 in the Uk and #134 in the US but it was a Canadian chart topper of course in 2007.

438 Simpatico - The Charlatans
Second appearance for The Charlatans and this wasn't on eof their better ones, think they re stronger in the 90s and 10s than most of their 00s output. It reached #10 in the Uk in 2006.
437 Welcome To The North - The Music
I loved their debut and really liked this at the time but it didnt do much for me last week when I played it. It reached #8 in the Uk in 2004.

I had forgotten about The Music until another post on here somewhere the other day jogged my memory. I loved 'Take The Long Road...' but never got as far as either of their albums.
I do like that Billy Talent album from memory, but I haven't played it for so long!

This is going to take me 2 years at this rate but nevermind, not fair to change now 436 Life in a Modern World - The ModernThis wasn't what I was expecting it was way more 80s and synth driven than the hits indicated. I also wondered why I never bought this and it seems it never had a physical release which is a bit mad after them scoring a hit with 'Jane Falls Down'. The single was a hit in 2005 but the album didnt follow until 2008. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YIQAQdZNShA&ab_channel=TheModern-Topic435 Tired Of Hanging Around - The Zutons
The second album from The Zutons released in 2006. It reached #2 in the UK.

434 Bright Idea - Orson
One hit wonders but they burned brightly for a short time, not only was 'No Tomorrow' a number one single, the album also got to Uk number one in 2006. This success was not reflected for the Us powerpop band in their natiuve country. www.universal-music.de/orson/videos/no-tomorrow-88289433 Love Ire & Song - Frank TurnerA mixed bag this album some tracks are my favourite of his and others I find unlistenable, Im not really a fan of when he goes too Billy Bragg. This was his second album and reached #72 in the Uk in 2008.

432 Attack & Release - The Black Keys
This was the first album of theirs I bought or really lisened to, I was aware of them before it though. It wasa their 5th album and reached #14 in the US and #34 in the Uk in 2008. 431 Pieces Of The People We Love - The RaptureThis was their second album and sounds better today than I expected, holds up really well when a lot of this genre from the 00s does not. It reached #113 in the US and #40 in the Uk in 2006. www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3PIoPnlPb8&ab_channel=JacksonClayton

Showing my ignorance here but I had no idea The Black Keys had been around for so long!
I don't think I even noticed them until the 2010s...

The Orson and Frank Turner ones are both great!
Interested to know which ones you find unlistenable on Love Ire and Song, because there's a couple I ignore every time.
