Norwich play on 1st July at Dereham for the first pre season friendly. I shall be there. 8 quid to enter and I hope Dereham score a couple.
Ipswich played their first friendly at the weekend and won 7-0

The draws for the first two rounds of the FA Cup are due this Friday. It'll be weird not seeing Marske involved as we don't come into the competition until September after our promotion to step 3.

It's going to be a weird season, with a massive break for the World Cup in November and December.

Had a few weird seasons lately
One that had a 4 month break for covid after 28 games
And
One that was played entirely behind closed doors
I'm interested in two things really, will the 2 month winter break for everyone not at the World Cup help with injuries and fatigue
And will a tournament when English players are in full swing help us play better than after a grueling 55 game season

And will a tournament when English players are in full swing help us play better than after a grueling 55 game season Probably, but it will also help the other countries just as much, so it won't really improve England's chances.

But playing in England is a whole other pace, it's frantic, all 25 England players play in England, other international team players are spread out between less intensive leagues, some have winter breaks, some have a slower pace, some play 10/15 less games, expecially years when English teams get to the Champions League final
I think it will be an interesting. But then Southgate will have them playing like robots and bore the life out of us anyway so it will be hard to tell how fresh they are

Wrexham seem to have a fairly big backer, are selling out every game, and so yes they will probably come up. The moderator of the Charlton forum seems to follow them, either as his second team or his first given he doesn't like the fact our owner isn't splashing it around to build a promotion team (because he doesn't have the money to do it).

Wrexham are owned by two Hollywood guys. Stags to come 1st, no chance! Northampton and Stockport and Bradford seem to have made better signings so my money would be on them! I’d love 3rd though, but I’m a pessimist, so I’ll be happy when we make 50 points as our first few games are very tough! Crawley might be a dark horse and Donny should be up there as well! And I think Bournemouth, Brentford and Everton for the drop in the Prem.

Interesting that none of the Championship fans have predicted their team to finish in the automatic promotion places. I wonder if the Middlesbrough fan is having second thoughts considering they've just beaten Marseille 2-0.

I don't want to start a new thread or anything but does anyone fancy me setting up an Invitational Premier League Fantasy Football League for Haveners to participate in?

I'm sure there will be enough fantasy players here to warrant doing it.

A few hedges, especially from Doncaster and Birmingham!

And I think Bournemouth, Brentford and Everton for the drop in the Prem. Yeah, I think Everton are in big trouble. My current thoughts for the top of the prem are: 1. Man city (Big gap) 2. Liverpool 3. Arsenal 4. Sp*rs 5. Chelsea 6. Man utd It's the most optimistic I've been starting a season for a while... We'll see if it lasts beyond 9:30 on the first night of the season this time. Palace have long been a bogey team for us.

I'd expect Burnley to go straight back up, so surprised 4-4-2 have them just inside the playoffs.
It isn't possible for Watford to finish higher than they did last season, if we assume that anywhere in the Championship is lower than 19th in the Premier League.
