MUNA - Loudspeaker
HAIM - If I Could Change Your Mind
I might think of more but those two from the last 10 years for sure!
Oh does this count?
BABYMETAL - KARATE

Thorney already named the two artists I was going to An obvious one, but still worthy of a mention: If we're talking girl pop groups, this is an all-time fave: Oh and this, had forgotten all about it until just now

I could list many - girl groups are my favourite kind of music acts.

There are a lot of girl group songs I like. For example these two.

"Be My Baby" may be from 1963 but is still my all time #1 by an all-girl group.
This was the only NM #1 for the Supremes, and I think the only NM #1 composed by Holland-Dozier-Holland although there was another songwriter as well credited.

Sticking with the purest & narrow Alan Freed "boy-bands & girl-groups" definition of vocal only groups who also moved rhythmically, then the likes of the The Bangles; The Go-Go's; Vixen, etc don't count as they are Girl Bands. Then three of my favourites are:
Martha & the Vandellas - Heatwave
Sister Sledge - He's The Greatest Dancer
Spice Girls - Say You'll Be There

This may not count either then, but it's one of the best pop songs ever written so:

I'd go for "Release Me" rather than Hold On. So close to being NM #1!
I'll add "Sweet Sensation - If Wishes Came True", ok only NM #6 but I appear to be the only one who charted it in the retro chart..

In fact that whole debut album still sounds fresh and fantastic to this day.
