A tournament in the wrong place, at the wrong time of year, awarded for the wrong reasons. The tournament will forever be tainted by bribery, corruption, human rights abuses and the deaths of workers but regardless of whether people choose to boycott the event, it is taking place regardless and so here we are.

The tournament will forever be tainted by bribery, corruption, human rights abuses and the deaths of workers but regardless of whether people choose to boycott the event, it is taking place regardless and so here we are. We can now add lies to the list after Qatar informed FIFA, two days before the start of the tournament, that alcohol will not be sold in stadiums, reneging on a promise going back years.
