A day late. Back from a weekend vacation in Florida.

DEBUTS: Phazed Groove leads the debuts with an interesting Contemporary House take on the "Haven't You Heard" Patrice Rushen classic (which may be the most sampled and remade Dance song of all). In this 2023 version a chorus of "I'm looking for the perfect guy" taken from the original lyrics is turned into the theme and new title. That nice twist turns the song into a "found, lost sister track" status which is always refreshing. Don Carlos follows with a Progressive House instrumental jam that samples the "I Feel Love" Donna Summer classic. He's done a great job warping the unique echo sound lifted from the original. "I'm Steel Here" is the new title.
Re-Tide & Fatimah Provillon's "I Like To Party" combines two retro tunes into one Contemporary House release. They go way back to The Intruders R&B and Crossover classic "I'll Always Love My Mama
" which is used for most of the rhythms. Lyrics from Oliver Cheatham's "Get Down Saturday Night
" top it off and the result is WOW. Art Of Tones lays down a nice dub mix instrumental mix on new artist Sam Raffillo's "Mind & Soul". A lead-guitar picking melody becomes Contemporary House with a touch of Jazz. NICE.
