The OCC website has a completely different song called 'Summertime' on their chart this week! Indeed,it must be an error as Isata Kanneh-Mason was only born in 1996, so quite amazing to have a top 30 hit 5 years before you were born

05 Big Audio Dynamite II - Rush (4wks 10-3-4-5) That was on Heardle Decades on Friday, and of course I didn't know it (but got it by googling at some point). As it hasn't been on my playlist it obviously wasn't a UK or US hit at all.

As it hasn't been on my playlist it obviously wasn't a UK or US hit at all. It reached #32 in the US and was an Australian number one which is the more likely reason it made Raliverpool’s chart as he covers a lot of Australian only hits. Ahh It was also on the flip side to ‘Should I Stay Or I Should Go’ reissue Uk single as a double AA side so kind of a number one here also. Not quite so obscure then.

Mick Jones was in the Clash and Big Audio Dynamite which is the connection. It reached #32 in the USA, I just looked it up, but it didn't enter the US top 40 until November 1991 which is why it hasn't appeared on my playlist yet. Although I'm ahead of the chart here I'm not that far ahead.

I remember listening to at least the first half of this countdown on Radio 1. Fiona's parents were over and I recall her dad was going to drive us all down to Wales where they lived.
I remember it mostly because when it got to #25 I was in total shock that Morrissey had actually climbed in the chart.
