In stark contrast to last night session very anti-climatic matches, we've had two epic matches so far.
Unless Luke Humphries finds his missing (in the World Championship so far) top gear or Joe Cullen loses his, then this final match tonight should be a tight match.

This is why there is no sport quite like Darts for sheer ebb and flow drama with the finale to the Game of the Tournament so far:

The new world #1 Luke Humphries breaks Littler's throw and takes the first set (3 legs to 1), in a race to 7 sets,

Humphries takes the first two legs of set two to me it 5 legs on the bounce, but then Littler turns up breaks Humphries throw twice to make it 1-1 in sets. Game On.

Deja Vu in reverse for set 3. Humphries comes from 2 legs down to win the set against the throw. Could the treble 19 bounce out for Littler in the final leg prove critical?

The most mediocre set so far sees Little take the 4th set 3 legs to 1. 2 Sets each.
Neither player on top form. Littler averaging 99.00, Humphries 101.53 - both well down on what they were playing like last night in their Semi Finals.

Littler takes the 5th & 6th sets, and Humphries seems to be fading under the pressure.
But Set 7 was the best set of the match to date Littler fluffs the deciding leg Double 2, and Humphries wins (including landing a max 170 finish) against throw to get back to 3-4 in Sets (back on throw).
Littler ave: 101.16 (max 8) Humphries 102.87 (max 15).
If Littler loses this final will the missed Double 2 darts prove the turning point?

Now Humphries wins the 8th set with little resistance, and evens the match at 4-4.
Is it a case of Littler taking a bit of a breather, or is the pressure (finally) starting to get to the youngster?

Humphries takes the 9th & 10th set to be one set away from his maiden World Title, as he is getting better and better.
It is giving me echoes of the Peter Wright v Michael Smith final (21/22), which ebbed and flowed until Peter Wright found an extra gear at the back end of the match.

Luke Littler 4-7 Luke Humphries
3 Dart Average: 101.13 v 103.67 180s thrown: 13 v 23
A match full of drama, a great advert for the sport.
Luke Humphries has also lifted the Ballon D'Art tonight - the trophy for most 180s in the tournament.
It's poignant for him as his father-in-law has recently been diagnosed with prostate cancer just before the start of the tournament (which may help explain why he was underwhelming his his first couple of matches). Plus sponsors Paddy Power have been donating £1,000 to Prostate Cancer UK for every 180 hit at the Alexandra Palace.
There's were more than 900 so the bookmakers will be handing over £900K.

Can't argue with the line-up. Top 8 in the world, except Littler in for Noppert. Had Littler not reached the world final, I reckon Chris Dobey would have got the last spot.
