With Garbage coming to Bridlington in July, there's a ticket out there with my name on it.

I was also thinking about that day for 2000 Trees, depends on if I manage to get more tickets for Biffy's old albums shows though because if so that will probably be my whole gig budget for the year blown I would miss Blood Command going on the Saturday but don't think I'm going to top seeing them in Bristol last year, that was such a good night. For me it's mostly about Creeper as I'd really love to see them. If you do decide to go let me know, maybe we can arrange a mini Haven meet up!

The year is starting to hot up a bit for me now... Booked: Feeder (live + signing) - Bristol Rough Trade, 9th April Myrkur - Islington Assembly Hall, 10th April Biffy Clyro (Blackened Sky in full) - London Shepherds Bush Empire, 20th October On the agenda but not yet booked as unsure of plans: Wolves In The Throne Room + GAEREA + Mortiferum - Bristol Fleece, 30th May (potentially going to be away) Eivor + Sylvaine - Bristol Thekla, 12th October (if Sylvaine announces any headline shows I will 100% go to that instead) Biffy Clyro (The Vertigo of Bliss/Infinity Land) - Glasgow, 25th-26th October (missed out on tickets but planning a trip up to Scotland for around then anyway so will be trying for a resale!) Sprints - Bristol Marble Factory, 12th November (probably will buy this just need to wait for payday after spending over £100 on gig tickets this month ) If Alcest decide to tour in the UK following their new album I will definitely go to that, but nothing's been announced yet.

Biffy at Barrowlands will be much better than London. There’s a reason why bands rave about playing Glasgow

I went for London as I had no idea if it would be feasible for me to go all that way until after all the presale tickets had gone. I am a loooooong way from Glasgow 😅
I'm sure you're right but if I don't get tickets to one of the Glasgow shows I'm not going to cry about getting to see one of my favourite bands play one of my favourite albums in full anywhere.

At Creeoer tonight, it is going to be crazy seeing them in such a small venue . Long time waiting for this, never thought I’d ever see them.

It was really good one of the best shows I have seen in Norwich. And I call it a show as he is a brilliant frontman , they really should be bigger and more well known than they are. Think half the crowd were hardcore fans, their lyric knowledge was scary.

Oakman are touring France and the UK this summer, haven't nailed down my summer plans yet but so far it looks like I'll be able to make the Bristol date

Ha, me and Hupin went to Satan's Hollow after the Muse gig in Manchester, it was a bit gothic with dungeons/cages, the devil ands skulls all over, lots of metal music and 90s alt rock, didn't expect Oakman to platy there
I need to see Creeper live too

The Bristol venue is a reasonably ordinary pub/bar, they do pizza apparently but the Manchester venue sounds a bit more characterful! In other news it seems Alcest did announce a headline tour back in February, not sure how I missed that but it's looking like I'll be in London on 11th December

I love going to gigs on my own - years ago I wouldn't even consider it and missed out on so much just due to not having people in my life who shared my taste in music, but honestly getting over that and just doing it is one of the best things I've ever done. In fact I prefer to go alone now as I don't have to co-ordinate plans with other people or worry about whether they're having a good time or if they want to leave early &c. Honestly the only downside is there is no-one to keep your spot if you have to nip to the loo between bands!

Ah I saw that the other day and wondered if you would go! I did consider the London show but also sold out, and three gigs on back to back evenings is a bit much for me

You only live once, so bought a ticket (+ parking) for Black Keys/Circa Waves in Manchester the day after I come back from a holiday in Wales, and my mate cant make it, but loving the album too much to not see them live again. Might be their last UK tour, who knows, so got to do it when you can, even though I've never been to a gig on my own before.

Good for you o! As I said above I deeply regret not going to more gigs on my own, have never once regretted it (and can think of more than one gig where I wished I had gone alone lol 😅)

Lovely little acoustic show at the Feeder signing today! They mostly played songs from the new album as expected but also 'Just The Way I'm Feeling' and 'High' which was such a treat.
Grant complimented me on my cat T-shirt from the Tallulah tour and showed me a photo of his cat who was the model. So if you see them beware of unsolicited p*ssy pics 😂
