For the first time, Simply Red have the #1 single, and this became their only NM #1 single, likely to remain the case even as I replay them. If it manages to stay on top for another 2 weeks it will be #1 on leap-year week. The only other single to manage that in my chart is "Java" by Al Hirt, number one on 29 February 1964. (That was the track I played in one of the rounds of Instrumental Idol). The next time 29 February would be a Saturday was 2020 by which time I had stopped doing charts. I have no immediate plans to resume them going forward and if so it's unlikely it will go further than the end of 2019.
The Tears For Fears song is one of those "randomly not on Spotify" songs, maybe because it was a new song on a compilation and sometimes it seems nobody bothered to publish it to Spotify rather than telling Spotify not to have it, so much for "Spotify would like to have every song". A musician also told me he has to pay regular fees to keep his music on there.
That Opus charts at all is an achievement given that the original song by Jane got dumped off my 1983 playlist very quickly for being boringly awful and I hated it when it was first released. Given the success of "Tom's Diner" when DNA added their part to it, it appears that solo female singers doing complete a-capella was not particularly popular. At least with the Flying Pickets they were a quartet and did harmonies.
The highest entry is by Gary Moore who had a massive #1 in my chart in 1990 with "Still Got The Blues (For You)".
