MARIAH CAREY - ALBUM TRACKS
I think you've left but I said I would review it so I have! Cappella tracks in about half an hour!
I lost the tracklising to this one so i'll just guess their names if I don't know.
There's Got To Be A Way - This one sounds a bit like Toni Braxton at the start of this one - that's a good thing BTW.
I used to have the CD single of this one. It's cool. I really like it. Shame it wasn't a hit. Very pro-social! I love
protest pop!
Find A Way - This is pretty good too. Quite moody.
Vanising - This is pretty nice. Very piano lounge. Kind of jazzy. Thumbs up from me!
All In Your Mind. Nice and upbeat and some weird squealing! Fabu!
Prisoner Of Your Love? - This is the sh*t! Cheese! Love it!
So Cold? - Oh my! Interesting intro. THe girls got range! Into some more cheese! This is again fabulous.
?? - Please don't let this be Unchained Melody *pukes*. So-So
Never Gonna Let You Go - you know my taste by now. f***ing fabulous!
LOve You To The End Of Time - Classic Mariah sound. Pretty good.
Clouds? - Subtle but strong I like it where it goes a little bit more up tempo for a bit and them seamlessly blends back down.
A strong track!
Now That Our Love Is For Real - She's a master at these initially misleading dancey tracks! Lyrics are not that great but it's still good.
My All? - Nothing special really.
Dreaming About You - Weak but I couldn't say it was bad.
All I've Ever Wanted Is You - So-so.
I Don't Love You Like Before - Boring.
All I Want For Christmas Is You - I remember buying this on tape. It's good, even though if not a Christmas song fan.
Miss You Most At Christmas Time - Quite nice. Works quite well out of season too.
- Well she's in her best voice on this CD. The first half was way better. I assume she got creative control afterwards...
I reckon from your Blondie review you'd like some of Debbie Harry's solo stuff. There are some SAW collaborations she did
that i'm sure you'd love. There is a good cheap compilation which cover all her solo stuff with some ultra camp remixes of
I Want That Man. Of course i'd copy you some stuff if you're still around...
And yes there were way better songs on No Exit that could've been the second single. It wasn't a great album and I probably
wouldn't recommend you buy it. But there was a lovely ballad that was originally the follow up it was called 'Forgive And Forget'
not very commercial but I like it. Divine was a cool track too. If I were them i'd have released No Exit with Coolio & the
Wu-Tang Clan second. It was released but after the faliure of Nothing Is Real... If they'd have cashed in with something unusual
like that straight away radio would've been forced to play it. It just ended up as a chart ineligable single and was forgotten
about. It's pretty cheesy but it could've worked.
