Further news on the play-offs: The play-offs will be seeded, with the 3 highest ranked teams avoiding each other. POT ONE: Czech Republic Spain Turkey POT TWO: Norway Switzerland Slovakia thats so unfair, Switzerland should be seeded not Turkey Why? |

Meh, the playoffs really shouldn't be seeded. Wasn't the Uzbekistan-Bahrain game declared void because of a refereeing blunder regarding a Uzbekistan penalty or something?  bizarre that they thought that justified a replay really... That's right. Uzbekistan scored a penalty, which the referee ruled out for encroachment in the box. However, instead of ordering the kick to be re-taken, he awarded Bahrain a free-kick. Uzbekistan won the game 1-0 but FIFA declared the game void. |

Maybe Bahrain contribute more money to the pot than uzbekistan? There are probably some very dubious goings-on regarding sport in Bahrain... |
