how about Everton being denied 2 points again yesterday with Andrew Johnson's goal being ruled out, never mind the fact he was also denied a clear penalty? And Blackburn get another point "won". The Andy Johnson decision was wrong on so many different levels. As i said to my dad while watching MOTD there was a massive amount of time before he actually recieved the ball having started in an offside position, by that time several players were playing him onside, and as Andy Gray showed on The Last Word he was actually behind the ball!

The first Owen "goal" should have been allowed but noone can say how the rest of the game would have gone if it had been allowed.

So what about the Birmingham "penalty" last weekend?

So what about the Birmingham "penalty" last weekend? Oh, I'd forgotten that! Agree, dubious penalty but I can understand why it was given. I was going to mention Pompey's winning goal at Bolton which was clearly offside, but couldn't be sure whether it came off a Bolton defender last before running through to Diarra to score. I thought it came off Kanu from looking at the replay, but the Sunday Express seemed to suggest otherwise.. Either way, I wouldn't blame the assistant referee as at first glance it did seem to come off a defender last.

Portsmouth's goal was definitely offside but you can see why the linesman let the goal stand.
Still, he was wrong...

Indeed. Don't really know about B'ham's penalty. Probably should stand...
Won: Tottenham - 2 points Arsenal - 2 points Liverpool - 4 points Blackburn - 2 points Middlesbrough - 2 points Reading - 2 points Chelsea - 1 point Portsmouth - 2 points
Lost: Newcastle - 1 point Man City - 1 point Aston Villa - 1 points Birmingham - 2 points Fulham - 1 point Wigan - 1 point West Ham - 1 point Everton - 3 points Bolton - 1 point

The ref cost Arsenal two points and gained Birmingham 1 point today - had he made any of the following three decisions correctly, Arsenal would have won (and given that goal difference could be crucial, the 3-goal difference is worth noting too): > The "foul" that brought about the free kick from which Brum scored their first > The failure to award a clear penalty for a shirtpull on Adebayor (yes Mark, shirtpulling IS an offence, impeding the opponent's control) > Awarding a penalty for Clichy's clean tackle in the last minute.

You certainly have a case. They were all decisions that can go each way but Arsenal shouldn't have had all three against.
Before I update, Fulham vs West Ham. For me, the goal did clearly come off Solano's elbow but there was no way it was either dilberate or he could have got out of the way. For me it should stand.

Yeah, Solano sort of fell onto the ball, but it looked like it was probably going to go in anyway. Bit of a strange goal.

This website may be of interest... www.rightresult.net/Personally I think it's rubbish as they count a penalty that should've been awarded as a goal, which you cannot do.

According to that site, Liverpool are indeed the most favoured team this season by the referees with 6 points given in their favour. Tottenham are the second most with 5 and then Blackburn with 4.
The most robbed team in their opinion is Newcastle with 6, followed by Bolton and Fulham, of 5 points each.

Chopra wrongly called offside for his goal yesterday... Agree, was going to mention this myself. They were doubly unlucky in hitting the inside of the post as well, although i'm happy as i hoped and predicted a boring 0-0 draw ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/999290/images/WkoAxKupDXiUlSqYdleR.gif) Just noticed you put our 2 points won against them up, but you didn't put their 2 points lost in the same game. 4 points lost so far, by far the unluckiest team in the relegation battle.

That's already been done. They only lost one point (should've been draw, got a defeat) which cancelled out the point they won very early on against Birmingham.
I shall do a table update tomorrow after we've seen today's games...

I don't think this threrad can be relevant unless the incident happened in the last few seconds of a match.
From the point the "correct " decision was made the course of the rest of the game would have been completely different.

Well yes but you can't be that picky. Where do you stop? Throw-ins that go the wrong way in the 5th minute?
