Was Decent Days And Nights 2005? I thought it was 2004 but then maybe they re-released it. I'll have to check when I get home.
Nice to see so many more bands break in 2005. Like Magic Numbers.

That's correct - DDAN was originally released in 2004 and then re-released earlier this year. Same as "Somebody Told Me", which appeared earlier. I didn't have a year-end chart last year, so... 5 more coming up soon.

And we enter the top 10! 8 Feeling A Moment Feeder 9 Taste The Last Girl Sons And Daughters 7- 2-3-4-3-3-6-9-14-16 10 Banquet Bloc Party 11 It's A Hit Rilo Kiley 1-1-2-2-5-5-13 12 Pushing The Senses Feeder 1-1-2-6-7-11-14-17 Feeder get two entries in the top dozen (only one other band has this honour), and the long-memoried of you will recall that "Pushing the Senses" finished higher when both of them entered my all-time top 200 chart this summer. But "Feeling a Moment" has grown on me since then... Elsewhere, Sons and Daughters were very unlucky not to get their first #1 with "Taste the Last Girl" - it was held off by the Magic Numbers, and then kept down at #3 by two of my top four songs of 2005. Their current release, "Dance Me In", reached #38 on this rundown, and right now it's #2 in my personal chart. Can they rise? And then there's Bloc Party, who had a #2 (The Pioneers) which didn't make it into the top 50, but have now featured twice in the top 20. Rilo Kiley is one of those Summer Artists, i think, and since it's now winter, it just misses out on the top 10. Well, something had to be #11.

Into the heady heights of the top 5! 5 Love Me Like You Magic Numbers 6- 1-1-2-7-8-8-11-14-18 This fantastic summery hit may have suffered a little bit due to it being Winter at the moment, but it's still well worth a top 5 position. The song that convinced me to buy their album, and the first in an ever-increasing line of songs to jump several places to #1. 6 Power Out Arcade Fire This has been growing on me ever since I got the album... if I'd known it at the start of the year, it might even have been challenging for #1 7 Munich Editors We all know about this one. 3 weeks and counting at the top of my personal chart, after its rerelease. More comments, please ;D

And my #2 song of 2005 iiiiiiiis...
2 The Great Escape We Are Scientists 1-2-1-1-2-3-3-5-6-10-10-18 We Are Scientists stormed onto the music scene last year, and this is the first of their singles to make it as far as my chart - straight in at #1, one of the last singles of 2005 to do so. It stayed in the top 10 for an unbelievable 11 weeks, the same number as the song above it in this chart. Hopefully they'll be one of the Big Things in 2006.

Which leaves only... Sleeping is giving in...
no matter what the time is...
Sleeping is giving in...
so lift those heavy eyes... 1 Rebellion (Lies) Arcade Fire 2-2- 1-1-2-3-3-5-8-9-9-12-16-17 Every time you close your eyes Lies! Lies! The soundtrack to my late Summer and autumn is this wonderfully uplifting track from my favourite band of 2005. But you all knew that anyway. Tell you what: Instead of me writing a long comment about why I love this song so much, why don't you just put it on the multimedia player of your choice, and give it another spin. Go on - you deserve it... Thank you for reading
