No, I think you misunderstood, I already said that Fugees and Pet Shop Boys are the ONLY two decent ones there.

Some of those that got 0 points would definitely get points from me now. Nobody voted for "Excerpt From A Teenage Opera"? Would be one of my biggest scores..
I think after the new #1s poll we should do another #2s poll.

Why "Je T'Aime... Moi Non Plus" was included ? It's UK # 1 hit.

When I did the #3s I wouldn't include any that had a higher peak in a different run. That song was out on 2 different record labels so had 2 catalogue numbers and at some point in its run they switched and so it is sometimes credited as both.
For me though, if it got higher in any chart run that's its peak. So I didn't include "He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother" which peaked at #3 in 1969 but then went 2 places higher 19 years later, or re-issues of Take My Breath Away or You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling that peaked at #3 in 1990 having both been #1s when they first came out.

Songs I would expect to vote for, or may possibly vote for. These are mostly 60s and 70s hits, a couple from the 80s, although one of them was a 60s hit that didn't get as high as #2 until 1992 We will start with the list of those records which didn’t score a single point (all 175 of them) Bobby Darin - Things Bruce Channel - Hey! Baby Casuals - Jesamine Duane Eddy - Pepe Fleetwood Mac - Oh Well Gary Glitter - Hello Hello I'm Back Again Keith West - Excerpt From A Teenage Opera Kenny Ball & His Jazzmen - Midnight In Moscow Manfred Mann - Semi-Detached Suburban Mr James Monkees - Alternate Title (or Randy Scouse Git) Pat Boone - Speedy Gonzales Paul McCartney - Coming Up Shakin' Stevens - A Love Worth Waiting For Slade - Gudbuy T'Jane Sweet - Fox On The Run Temptations - My Girl Tremeloes - (Call Me) Number One Wings - Let 'Em In Those would all be on the shortlist but some may miss the cut (in particular Midnight In Moscow, Shaky and either of the Paul McCartney ones). Hello Hello I'm Back Again is my favourite of all of Gary Glitter's songs. Pepe is my favourite Duane Eddy hit an Things is actually my favourite Bobby Darin song too.

I will save these songs from zero points : Kym Marsh - Cry Emma Bunton - What I Am Bardo - One Step Further Cilla Black - You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' Guys & Dolls - There's A Whole Lot Of Loving Lulu - Boom Bang-A-Bang Kate Robbins - More Than In Love Madonna - Hanky Panky Nancy Sinatra & Lee Hazlewood - Did You Ever
'Cry' will get very high position in my list.

Maybe we could do it differently.
I could split it into 6 semi-finals of 11 years each so each era gets a decent representation.
1952-62 1963-73 1974-84 1985-95 1996-2006 2007-17
Then a number get through each heat and go into a final.
1952-62 covers the pre-Beatles era, so it's a good place to end that section. 2007-17 is the download and streaming era. The other splits are random.

My favourite UK # 2 is very obvious choice, if you know me well enough. I said it many times on the different music forums.

I wouldn't put the Verve anywhere near #1. I've always found that song so overrated!

There are definitely a few on the list of #2s that didn't score any points that would feature in my top 100.
Does anyone have, or know where to find, a list of all the songs that have peaked at #2 since 2006? It's easy to find lists of #1s, not so much for #2s!
