Violator was a defining moment in my life and is still one of my top 10 albums! The also released a remix of the album which I like. ya ive worn out my copy too... its probably not in my top ten... but top 25... I am currently filling in all the holes in my collection (as I find it used etc) but have right now: ooo consider black celebration next... it has some of their best songs imo: black celebration, q. of lust, stripped, but not tonight other favs: p. of truth, shake the disease other dm i have: violator, music for the masses, catching up with dm (tape =P), some great reward, and the videos 86-98 Symphonic Music of Depeche Mode is quite cool. All their hits done by an orchestra... hmm that sounds interesting...

I got Symphonic Music of Depeche Mode from www.allofmp3.com... ohh i need to check this out... covers from goldfrapp and air... [drool] Not covers - remixes. The Kruder and Dorfmeister one is very, very good. One of my top five ever remixes (this from a guy who has ~1000 remixes).

Of course!! Here's my Kruder best of mix (not too many songs - but each of these are completely brilliant. This is a couple years old so may need updating....
Depeche Mode-Useless (Kruder & Dorfmeister Remix)Kruder & Dorfmeister - G-Stoned Lamb - transfatty acid (Kruder & Dorfmeister Remix) Kruder & Dorfmeister - Heaven Or Hell Madonna - Nothing Really Matters (Kruder & Dorfmeister Remix) kruder and dorfmeister - hackers soundtrack Kruder & Dorfmeister - Rockers Hi Fi (Love and Insanity Dub) kruder und dorfmeister - going under Tosca - Honey Kruder & Dorfmeister - Shades
Testament that Kruder are great is the fact that I can listen to a Madonna song and really, really like it! Tosca is a Richard Dorfmeister offshoot project...
Another offshoot project worth investigating is Peace Orchestra (Peter Kruder)
I've never found a group like Kruder & Dorfmeister which I can put on the stereo in any situation with any group and people are happy...

They are indeed great.
I have the Tosca & K&D session albums so am reasonably familiar with them. They're what I term as "Music to smoke to" albums!

They're what I term as "Music to smoke to" albums! Indeed - another situation where they work just fine!
