They were a critically-acclaimed Irish rock band with an American lead singer, got as high as #47 in 1987 with "Big Decision" which had an impressive 12" extended mix.
Their best album- 1987's "Babble" made #30 and got re-issued in 2001 with a batch of new tracks from other releases.
Had an indie chart topping album called "Manic Pop Thrill" whaich made #84 in the nationals.
Their sound was like electronic sounding, mixed with pure instrumental sounds at the same time.
They were also formed by brothers Sean (guitar) and Damian O'Neill (bass) when they both left the Undertones, adding Steve Mack (vocals), Reamann O'Gormain (guitar) and Ciaran McLaughlin (drums). After appearing on several indie labels, they later recorded for Polydor and Virgin.

I remember them quite well! They always got frustratingly close to the top 40, but without breaking thru! It's a shame coz they were a great band, but I still think "Big Decision" was their peak, and such a catchy song as well!

I remember them, had a couple of their songs on compilations that music mags used to give away in the late 80s and early 90s (a 7" single from Record Mirror in April 1986 if I remember, also featured Hipsway and New Order, and a cassette from Select?) Quite good from what I can remember but just couldn't make it to the top 40.

yeah, I really liked em as well, I suppose if they had got to #40, they would have gone higher as that happened with a lot of acts in the 80s... I have the 7"s somewhere...
