This was the chart that registered the highest sales of all time, the entire top 11 each sold over 500,000 copies in total, including the top 2 selling well over a million copies and another (Ian Dury at #6) selling well over 900,000 copies. It would be another 19 years before the charts had almost as many songs selling in massive amounts - the next chart that's coming up!
