I'm sure Girls@play couldn't top Donna Summer on that.Donna's 12" version is great.

Oh good gracious no, I love the Donna Summer song, but the Girls@Play version is interesting, if a little bland.
I'll post the link when I get home.
Didn't someone else cover it? I can't remember right now?

The title of this thread brings back great memories of my early days, starting out as a dj.
12" Vinyls of donna summer, Hazel dean, mel and kim, sam fox, sinitta and rick astley.
Those were the days.
And of course "The reynold Girls"...LOL

I loved them to Jannie.
I think the majority of SAW music were enjoyable and likeable.
Not sure if it was a SAW track, but "Timerider - Cocoon" was a classic. Im sure it was from the hitman and her.

I don't think Timerider was SAW produced, but it could've been on the PWL Continental label (i'll go and check it out)and it was definitely from hitman& her.I can easily go on about the SAW records for days!Great memories and a lot of them still sounds awesome today.I recently got hold of rare remixes of Hazell Dean songs(she was always my favourate and popular in SA ) done by Hot Tracks,Disconet and Razormaid which is almost as exciting as hearing a new SAW record for the first time!

Searchin' (athough no SAW involvement) was the first of a kind! The first Hi NRG record to cross over into the charts. The TOTP perfomance was classic with the two backup dancers and their Searchin' dance routines. Please keep on commenting! And now with my buddy Jacques joining up on Haven we should keep this thread going.

THE question - when I think about PWL - is :
No Kylie without PWL ?
Yes I know, she was in Neighbours - BUT - do we think that Kylie would be the Kylie we all (??) love today hadn't she be with SAW ?

Ooooh, nice question.
I'll have a muse over that one tonight.
Wasn't PWL created for her, or was it for Mandy? Mandy got PWL1, right? Lucky was PWL8?

Which reminds me, I must rescue my SAW videos from my parents loft next time I'm there before they become the next victim of "youngest son possession culling" a la all my old Record Mirrors. All copies from 1986 to the last copy went on the bonfire The only one I have here is a Mel and Kim "Double Header" FLM and Respectable VHS.

The other three in POP! I don't recall what happened to, but Jamie Tinkler went to on to audition in X-Factor 3 last year with the band Avenue, who were subsequently chucked out the serious for breaking the rules by already havng management.
Before that he auditioned for Pop Idol 2, but didn't get as far as the final. Mainly due to the fact he was a bit rubbish. I'm sure he auditioned for another reality music show recently, but can't think what.

I need some advice.I'm DJ for my cousin's wedding on 1 Sept.Obviously i'm going to fit in as much SAW songs as possible.Which songs/mixes of theirs would you guys say will get the best reaction to a mixed crowd say from ages 19 to 68? Normally the best were for Locomotion (which i don't care for, Sankie mix is ok though),Venus, Never gonna give you up, Who's leaving who.
