I didn't know that Rick Atsleys 'Ain't Too Proud To Beg' and 'Giving Up On Love' had been singles anywhere ! I've always thought 'Giving Up On Love should have been a single - it's my second bestest Rick song ! I never bought his first album and I'd never ever heard 'Strong Strong Man' until I bought his Greatest Hits cd about a year ago.I don't know how I missed it when it was a hit ? Completely passed me by. I didn't know that Sams 'Only Wanna Be With You' did so well in USA ! Goood old Sammy. Kylies 'It's No Secret' ? Yay !! I love that.I remember reading once, that it was her least fav of her own songs. She must be mad.lol. Did ver Rams 'Heard A Rumour' REALLY reach No 4 in US ?! Deservedly so.FAB song.Ooh and 'I Can't Help It' charted too. No 'Love In First Degree' though ?? Edit - Love in 1st Degree is there,I need glasses.lol.

I've had this (dodgy quality) pic on my computer for aaaaages but don't know who they all are,so maybe one of you will know ? I recognise the legendary Sonia, the under rated Lonnie Gordon (I think),helium voiced totty Big fun, and hunky Yell ! Who are the others ? And yes ,this is me 'double posting' (isn't that what it's called ?) I'm SUCH a rebel.lol.

next to the dark-haired guy from Yell! is Kakko
The 2 guys at the bottom are Shooting Party (I think)
They guy next to Sonia without the cap is Johnny O
I think a couple of the girls in front of Sonia are Romi & Jazz

ahh Manic !! I KNEW you'd know.lol. Cheers ! I should have posed the question (and pic) when Smurfie and Jannie were online at the same time as you - and then it would have been a real test of speed and knowledge to see who'd be first to come up with the goods.haha.
Anyway ooooh I always wondered what Shooting Party looked like, and Romi & Jazz.So now I know.lol. I wouldn't have recognised Kakko at all - I only seen one pic (a single sleeve I think) and she had a hat on,so seeing her with hair has thrown me.lol.
Johnny O ? I don't know if I know his stuff or not. Will have to look through my cds tomorrow as not knowing will wreck my head.
Thanks,you're a legend. : )

I liked it I have it on 12 inch, it's OK, it was at the tail end of the SAW period, and everything just sounded so rushed and unfinished.

Oh, I LOVE the Downtown 88 remix. It sounds horrendously dated now though.

I remember buying the 7'' of Downtown 88.I think the original version was on the B side.I still like it ,even now.I didn't mind Emma Buntons version either,it was alright.
Romi & Jazz - I love 'One Love One World' and only heard for the first time in the last year,or there abouts. From reading their names on SAW forums in the past ,I'd always assumed that Romi & Jazz were a mixed sex duo.I always think of Jazz as a mans name.
Haha 'Wee Rule' - I loved that.I used to know al the words (probably still do).I remember when that was in the charts, walking down a street with a group of friends and we were singing the whole song really loud.Must have sounded like alley cats. I gave a box of 7'' records to my nephew - songs that I thought would be instantly catchy ,and 'Wee Rule' was one of them.He came back a week later saying that he loved them all except THAT one.He said it was ''Bruuuutal''and was laughing at how bad it was !
I'm listening to 'Johnny O' song now.He reminds me of someone else but I can't think who.lol

I believe The Sheilas aren't getting any radio support in the UK, so i don't expect much unfortunately, maybe Top 75?

I haven't heard it ANYWHERE. Nor have I seen any promotion. In fact I saw the video on a music channel for this first time today. It's gonna flop.

Yes on I heard a rumour one of SAW's best songs ever.I was very happy that it did so well there. They have weird taste in the US though, together with the Sam Fox i was also surprised that Locomotion was Kylie's biggest hit there by far!Suppose they bought both as they were remakes.
