The list is starting to look good now. Am most pleased. Could really really use:
Dead Or Alive - You Spin Me Around Bananarama - Venus Sinitta - Cross My Broken Heart Big Fun - Blame It On The Boogie Big Fun - Can't Shake The Feeling Jason Donovan - Every Day Lonnie Gordon - Happening All Over Again Hazell Dean - Who's Leaving Who Pepsi & Shirlie - Heartache
With those, I think we'll have the 40 sewn up. The rest are just cannonfodder really.

Things are starting to look up!It will be interesting to know what the smaller hits sold as well eg Hazell's no.72 hit Better off without you and Lonnie Gordon's no.68 If I have to stand alone to name a few.Are we including songs produced for PWL by Harding/Curnow or oher producers or just SAW?Suppose not.For instance Love Pains was on PWL and produced by Phil Harding but no SAW involvement.

Nope, just SAW and SW hits only as per the list of "official hits" on Cafe 80's. So no to Love Pains. Dear god, make the job more complicated for me! I will try and keep everything I find, but if I'm struggling with YSPA, I'm going to struggle even more with If I Have To Stand Alone sales figures.

I promise not ALL South Africans are as demanding as i am!!I DEMAND to get the sales of If i have to stand alone.btw.I've entered the competition on Hitfactory Forum to win a signed copy of Sheilas!AND the competion to win for them to come and perform at my office Christmas party.Somehow i don't think they will be coming out this way!

Dear god, do you realise how many pictures of Pete Burns I had to look though?? I bet you're going to have nightmares tonight! All in a days work i suppose! One of my Dutch friends ran a Dead Or Alive fansite and he told me was considering closing it as some of the fans were really weird and intimidating!

The Top 40 has been updated!!Thank you mr.Smurf. Hopefully we will eventually have a full Top 100 Stock Aitken Waterman with sales before i retire! It is easier finding out what the Queen had for breakfast this morning than finding these figures!

Thanks for posting up Jannie Yes, quite a bit of a task. I cannot promise everything is 100% accurate, as "official" sales data for the late 80's stuff was a tricky task. I have tried to be as near as possible, though some may be out a little here and there. Any changes, please shout, and I'll/Jannie will amend.

Suppose we might have to make way in the Top 10 best sellers for The Sheilas!!

And I can't find Let It Be ok, i know Let it be should probably be on there and it was for a good cause but it was truly dreadful!Just foir that alone, we should leave it off. Seriously though, on the first list of SAW best sellers it wasnt listed (up to early 1988) because i think they only included songs WRITTEN & produced by SAW.The second list included all songs PRODUCED by them, not necessarily written, therefore no You spin me round and Let it be on the first list published.
