Who is your favourite Snooker player and why? It will always be Steve Davis. He was the top player when I first started watching snooker when I was very little and it's amazing that he can still play at the top level nearly 30 years later when all the players he was playing against back then (apart from Jimmy White) have retired. Of the younger players, I find Liang Wenbo very entertaining and not just for his snooker skills.

Thinking back on previous series - who do you most want, and who do you least want to be in Big Brother Allstars ?

All the winners should be in there, just because they won. Others who I wouldn't mind seeing back would be: Nasty Nick, Helen, Alex (BB3), Jon Tickle, Victor, Dan (BB5), Kemal, Luke
The only one that stands out who I wouldn't want to see again is Marco from BB5.

It would probably have to be Radiohead. They make original, intelligent music that more often than not sounds amazing.
Some of their stuff can be hit and miss but I'd rather have that than a band that records the same song over and over again for 10 years.

What was the first part, and last part, you had in school plays ? My first proper part was an owl, though prior to that I had played a "villager". My last part was an American football player at an Elizabethan banquet. (Don't ask)

what sports do you dislike? Not many. I can't say I really like ice skating or gymnastics, so I wouldn't go out of my way to watch them at the Olympics but I'd still pick them over watching Eastenders. I don't really like basketball. Too repetitive.

Most pop groups are made up of decent singers and ones who can't sing but look good. If Kimberley Walsh or (at the height of their popularity) Kerry Katona or Jenny Frost or Tina Barrett or Michelle Heaton or Lee Latchford Evans or Shane Lynch or Keith Duffy or Nicky Byrne or Kian Egan or Jason Orange etc,had been given the X Factor judge position instead of Cheryl Cole, would he/she now be the chart topper that Cheryl has become ,or does she have something that the other limited vocalists don't have, and if so - what is 'it' ?

No. The Cheryl Cole phenomenon is a pure media creation. Half-decent (at best) looking girl + "personality" (though I fail to see it) + difficult working-class upbringing in a scummy family = something the media can market to plebs and say "it could be you one day". Kerry Katona's the only one that could've come close but she's mental.

Are you now rooting for Nick or Victor to win,or have any of the other housemates won you over ?

I don't really mind who wins. Nick's got no chance anyway. It would be funny if Victor won but it's almost certain to be Brian or Nicki.
The events of the last week (Nadia/Coolio) have put me off this series somewhat. It's acted as a reminder that what the people in charge of BB care about the most is themselves.
I'm just glad a couple of my suggestions ended up in the house when some people had forgotten them.

If you watch the Stephen Fry show 'Q.I' - which 4 comedian/panellists (if that's the right word) do you enjoy the most ?
If you don't watch that show,I'll ask.... ..... do you prefer your soup in a bowl or a mug ?
|
|
|
Post by Panda on Oct 24, 2010 0:03:03 GMT 1
I shall answer both! QI: Alan Davies is a must. Jo Brand is always good on there. I'd probably say Clarkson and Sean Lock for the others, though Linda Smith would've turned into a QI legend, I reckon. Rory McGrath's appearances were funny in that he knows absolutely EVERYTHING and the rest of the panel would be rather frozen out by his detailed, accurate answers, so they stopped having him on the show. Soup: Always in a bowl, unless it's a Cup-A-Soup.

I don't dislike him.
He's done a few good songs here and there, though I haven't taken much interest in his more recent concept albums and 74-disc blues opus...
Still, he's a Boro fan and he let them and Bob Mortimer do Let's Dance as their 1997 Cup Final song so that makes him OK in my book.
