They released four great songs & I SO miss them. Whats happened to them? I know 'Is It A Sin', 'Shooting Star' and the album flopped, so they mighta been dropped, but does anyone have any confirmation as to what they are doing?
I'll so have to get the album!

I'm a fan too. I was thinking the other day that the song Deepest Blue is easily one of their weakest and perhaps misrepresented them as they are much much more than a dance act. The album did OK, it was no 22 or something, released around the time of Is It A Sin which wasn't a big hit. I hope they haven't been dropped

"Shooting Star" was definitely my favourite from them. It entered at a dysmal #57 (I believe). So sad. But they really shot themselves in the foot though by releasing 2 dance singles, then releasing "Is It A Sin".
I hope they'll release another album.

yeah, they released an indie sounding song, very diff and alienated their fanbase I guess:( Good stuff though...

I miss acts like that who make intelligent songs Yeah, that sums them up perfectly. Not many acts making 'intelligent' music right now - I always thought Muse and the Phonics made intelligent music, but from what I've heard of the Phonics new album it's a bit disposable. The Killers and Athlete as well

even i like them... i didn't really think much of their attempt to go indie though; they should have stuck to what had worked in the past. "give it away" is my fave... top tune

I have a soft spot for "Is It A Sin" which worries me greatly as it sounds just like Savage Garden who I hate

I love Deepest Blue. I bought the album and all 4 singles from it. Seal said he loved Deepest Blue and that they reminded him of the kind of music that inspired him to get into this business in the first place. Which makes sense that I should like them so much. I love the pop music of the late 80's and early 90's, totally brilliant.
From what I've heard Ministry Of Sound turned down the option for a second album, so that basically amounts to being dropped. Joel Edwards has been working on a solo album for release at some point. I know he had a website set up late last year but can't remember the URL.

Cheers for the info, mate.
That's a DAMN shame that MOS didn't give them a second chance. They were a great band who never got the recognition they deserved.
A damn shame.

Check this out: www.joeledwards.co.uk/page2.htmlQuite a bit of info there. It's just reminded me of the single they did back in 2002 called "Let It Go", except it was under the artist name Zoom. It charted at #96. I've heard it's very good but I've yet to come across a cd single for it.

Cheers for that, mate.
I'm really gonna have to get a copy of 'Late September'. I keep meaning to, but I never get around to it. I can't WAIT to hear Joel's solo stuff. His voice is so classy and mature.
