I realize I'm in the minority, but for the life of me I don't get the appeal of this song. It just repeats the same thing over and over. And it spends 2 weeks at #1. What's with you people? I know you Brits like that Ibiza type song (God knows enough of 'em have gotten to #1 even though they all sound the same to me) but this one isn't even remotely creative. Enlighten me folks. No fair mentioning the crap that gets #1 here in the States either.

Don't worry, I share your hatred. Anybody could knock that sort of track together in about half an hour.

It's ok, every now and then a dance song comes along and grabs the attention of the public, and like has been said, the vid helps, and as soon as sean sees it, the song will be more likeable;) And as for not mentioing the US charts, sorry but we have to List the #1's from this year please in the top 100...

Well I have liked 'Call On Me' for months downloaded it gawd must be 4 months agao now and it was credited to Thomas Bangalter, now this means a Daft Punk connection so that immediatelt attracts my attention. Also it bears more than a striking resemblance to a Thomas Bangalter track called ' So Much Love To Give' that was out 18 months agao but was never released commercially I was certain it would be a no1 but no show Then when I heard 'Call On Me' was getting a release I was immediately behind it especially as I love the Steve Winwood sample, and nobody was more shocked than me to see it at no1 in midweeks!! I love it simple!

The follow-up sounds a bit rubbish though...

good point woo ;D and knowing Sean as we do, I'm sure he would be a fan of the video Hi James, When you say "knowing Sean" I assume it's a video depicting the struggle of the working class against oppression in their ever frustrating quest for humane treatment and safe factory conditions. Or maybe it's about the sorrowful plight of the New Guinea fawn deer who faces extinction due to the encroachment of civilization on its fragile habitat. Then again, maybe it's pretty much all about gratuitous sex and a vulgar display female naughty bits. I'm torn on which you mean. By the way, James, I just noticed your message, sorry. I'm terrible at seeing those up there. I'll get back to you.

Geez, you're as bad as TJ. Tell him don't and he does. Actually this year's US #1's aren't as dire as previous recent years. This year was three by Usher (Yeah, Burn, Confessions Pt 2), Fantasia Barrino (I Believe), Juvenile (Slow Motion ), Terror Squad (Lean Back ;D) and right now it's Ciara ft. Petey Pablo with the abysmal Goodies. I would actually prefer Call On Me to Goodies. Now about the video. Is there a site that I can view UK videos? I can see the US videos on Launch but they didn't have Eric Prydz.

It's ok. Nothing better in my book. To be honest, I think there have been far better dance singles this year (both of the Junior Jack songs for a start).

Junior Jack - Stupiddisco, class! Nice vid as well! "Da Hype" is also very good... although I am biased as it's got Robert Smith on vocals.

Just saw the video. Woo hoo!!!! I just turn the volume down and oggle. I took a morning workout class a couple years ago and the women were nothing like this. Song still sucks, but I give the video a big thumbs up, or at least something's up. I'll be showering now.
