Embace?! never even heard the song.. :s whata a huge drop for Corinne!!!! *bawl* She did have FIVE weeks in the top 5 though! And Gnarls may do it, but a lot of people have it at #1 already, so it cant go higher without more charts support from other posters.

Great work as always Andy. Wow!!! That really is close - just one point between Embrace and Sugababes. I could well be wrong, but I think Gnarls Barkley is most likely to be the new CombiChart no. 1 next week...but only time will tell.

I must admit it is disappointing that a song that is so loved by the populace at large is getting ignored by so many Havenites. - I can only assume that it's not been played at all outside the UK. Nevermind, maybe next week. Thanks for the extra info andy.

Oh and thank god that Shakira's 'Don't bother' has gone. It was doing depressingly well on the YTD even though it is absolutely diabolical song.

Oh and I hate doing 3 posts in a row but isn't Sigur Ros anywhere close to the top 40? WHORE. Pleasing to see B&S get the highest new entry this week and my bet's on Gnarls for next week in the assumption he may figure on people's charts who don't look at pre-releases.

Oh and I hate doing 3 posts in a row but isn't Sigur Ros anywhere close to the top 40? #65 on 55 points, set to grow I reckon! Mel has hard it and is charting it next week Mark, I knew you'd be impressed You have 3 of the top 5 though, plus an old charting one, so a strange reaction, you obviously REALLY dont like Embrace at all #biglaugh# Oh and you do have wigwam and jack johnson in your chart ;D ;D

Excellent chart this week!! Boy am I glad I voted too; don't get me wrong, Sugababes are ace, but the Embrace song is wonderful - a very worthy #1 here, and best of all, no sign of Ne-You trying to spoil it! I hope Sigur Ros manage to get in as well, they've climbed into my top 10 this week and might go even higher. BTW, did 'Hoppipolla' make this chart when it was released last year??

Yes it did, can't remember where exactly but there were a few of us who rated it highly - at least Homes and I charted it at #1.

The fact it beat Red Dress by ONE point too Aside from that it's the best it's looked overall in a while...

Yes it did, can't remember where exactly but there were a few of us who rated it highly - at least Homes and I charted it at #1. Indeedy - it was at least no.1 for 4 weeks on both of our charts - no less than Christmas no.1 if I can recall. However, don't know what to do about the reissue - shall I chart it highly or not. I tempted not to. Mind you there''s so much weak indie out at the moment - waves to Zutons, Dirty Pretty things, Hard Fi, Lorraine, Charlatans and Feeder. It's difficult to know where the new hits are coming from in my chart.

I've scheduled it for a re-entry next weekend in mine but I have the same quandry about whether to allow it to chart highly or not and also the lack of decent new stuff - there's only 3 new entries in my chart today.
