IT'S BACK! ;D Welcome to this seasons FOOTBALL PREDICTA GAME Here are the rules: You have to predict whether you think ten games from the Premier'ship and Championship will be a Home Win (HW), Draw (D) or Away Win (AW). Once you have decided on your predicted outcome you must rank from 1-10 on how confident you are of this prediction. You will give a 10 for the prediction you are most confident with and 1 for the prediction you are least confident with. You must give 10 different rankings of 1 to 10. Each number between 1-10 can only be used ONCE. You will score 10 points for a correct prediction, this will then be multiplied by your confidence level. So 10 x 10= 100 points if you gave a 10 for that correct result. If you give the game a confidence level of 4, you’ll receive 10 x 4 = 40 points etc. If your prediction is incorrect you will lose 1 x your confidence level. Therefore, if you predicted a HW with a confidence level of 10 and you are incorrect you will lose 10 points. So points can be won and lost in each game! The game will be played on a monthly basis, with the winner being the person with the highest score at the end of each month. They will have the honour of appearing on the Roll of Honour. The games will be randomly selected from those played on a Saturday & Sunday only. If the rules sound complicated please feel free to ask me any questions or PM me directly. It will all make sense as the game begins! Monthly Roll of Honour August 04: Shania 825 pts September 04: Earl Purple 1200 pts October 04: Shania 1570 pts November 04: DandyHighwayman 957 pts December 04: Shania 1727 pts January 05: Robin / Misterhamster 1013 pts February 05: Misterhamster 1408 pts March 05: Frag 1452 pts April 05: Kristofferson67 1210 pts May 05: Shania 1078 pts Yearly Footie Predicta Table 2005 (to date, end of May 05) 1 Misterhamster = 5633 pts 2 Andy = 5523 pts 3 Shania = 5491 pts 4 DandyHighwayman = 5490 pts 5 Fragolata = 5314 pts 6 Robin = 5226 pts 7 Kitt = 5083 pts 8 Kristofferson67 = 4918 pts 9 Earl Purple = 4601 pts 10 ManicKangaroo = 4038 pts 11 Greendemon = 3954 pts 12 Arcadia Foxx = 3906 pts 13 Dj = 3411 pts 15 Hullboy = 1717 pts 16 Phoenix =1501 pts 14 Sofie = 1244 pts 17 Mark = 906 pts 18 Spud 407 pts

4 AW Fulham v Birmingham. Fulham will struggle badly this season without Van Der Sar.
3 D Man City v West Brom lol, the game that was the turning point for the Baggies last season. Didn't have a shot on goal all game and got a 1-1 draw with a late own-goal.
7 AW Portsmouth v Tottenham. Tottenham are one of dark horses this season. Pompey will struggle badly, and I think will go down.
9 HW Arsenal v Newcastle. Newcastle will do badly under Souness. Arsenal blew away quite a few points at Highbury last season against smaller teams (and blew points for me in this game at the same time). I think they'll get through this though.
10 AW Wigan v Chelsea. What a start for Wigan! Jewell had left us and Hutchings was our manager when we beat Chelsea 2-0 at home in August 2000. Vialli was sacked from Chelsea just after losing that game. What a bright start to the season, and it was all downhill from there. Still Chelsea weren't as good then as they are now and they won't lose here.
6 HW Luton v Leeds. I hope so anyway. Would make it 3 wins in a row for the Hatters.
2 D Norwich v Crystal Palace. Palace have started very badly given they were one of the favourites.
5 AW QPR v Sheff Utd. I predict a good season for the Blades. They have started already with 2 wins.
1 AW Sheff Wed v Southampton. Saints should start as favourites but I'm unsure about this one.
8 HW Wolves v Hull. Hull have done well but Wolves are one of the favourites to go up.
To sum it up:
4 AW Fulham v Birmingham. 3 D Man City v West Brom 7 AW Portsmouth v Tottenham. 9 HW Arsenal v Newcastle 10 AW Wigan v Chelsea 6 HW Luton v Leeds. 2 D Norwich v Crystal Palace. 5 AW QPR v Sheff Utd. 1 AW Sheff Wed v Southampton 8 HW Wolves v Hull
