You should take Tyler and crow from us. Tyler is a great 4th division goalkeeper, and i can't imagine noone has come in for him. Whereas crow is a good finisher. But a bit of an attitude problem, a good run of games and he'll be useful.

All he has is an attitude problem, nobody is prepared to take the risk - the only team that have been after him is Cambridge, I feel that if he got a run for a conference team, it could do him some good.

I thought Jamie Forrester was a striker, he scored 4 against us 1 game, or was that just Mansfield He is, scored a fair amount for Northampton in what is now League 1 a while back i seem to recall. No Mansfield but with Gillingham now in League 2 i'll be popping into this thread still. Words fail me when mentioning Gillingham's ticket prices. They've barely reduced them at all from last season, and they were a joke then in League 1, they're the only club in the division charging over £20. They're even more expensive than Reading's! Our ticket prices are now roughly the same as they were when we were last in the Championship. They have come up with a novel idea though, for every home league game they lose you get your money back! Clearly they're going for promotion but i think this will backfire as i can't see them finishing higher than mid-table, and they're in debt, 10m i think, so they need all the money they can get when they'll probably be getting sub 5k crowds.

Bearing in mind Mansfield went down with 42 points last season, Luton would have to score at least 72 points to survive - the equivalent of finishing 8th. Bournemouth would need 57, which would put them 16th before deductions. If their form at the end of last season is anything to go by, they might be OK this season. It's worth remembering Rotherham finished 9th with 64 points AFTER a 10 point deduction. Yeah, very true mrh, it depends if you can attract the good players though with those penalties hanging over you? I can see Bournemouth being ok, but I see no escape for Luton, it's just too massive, but maybe it will get reduced? Agree that Luton are doomed and Bournemouth maybe ok. Bournemouth want to sign Jem Karacan, midfielder, on a season's loan from us. On the basis of what i've heard of our pre-season games so far i'd be hoping he'd be part of our squad this season. And if he was to go out on loan i'd rather it was in League 1 having played for Bournemouth and Millwall last season, rather than drop down a division, which surely would be a backward step.

The first two live fixtures from League Two: Mon 13 Oct - 7.45pm - Notts County v Brentford Mon 20 Oct - 7.45pm - Darlington v Bradford
There are also two League One live matches announced (including Peterborough hosting Bristol Rovers on September 6th), and about two per week from the Championship. All on Sky Sports, mostly SS1 & HD1.

Great to see they're showing Notts, but we always draw 0-0 against Brentford at home.

Mansfield's Boulding brothers both had trials with us but they have joined Cheltenham. I am not sure we wanted to sign both of them, just Michael.

Yep, it's a bit weird really, Rory has to stand on his own 2 feet at some point! Mickey only has a couple of years left in him after all. We'd heard Mickey was coming back to the Stags, believe it when we see it

We ended up signing them both. I don't think they'd actually joined Cheltenham, just went down there for a trial after us. Seems fair enough if they were offered trials at several clubs that they would try them both out.
We only need him for a couple of years, or even one if that gets us out of this division and we can attract a higher calibre player. Once we are at least safe League One we won't even be competing with the likes of Cheltenham anymore as players will look at us as the bigger club.

They told cheltenham they were signing, maybe then got a better deal from bradford, play one off against the other. I hope he does well, but he may have had his 1 good season, Rory can go play for Bradford PA.

Rory is on a 2-year contract. He is similar to Luke Medley who left us for Barnet.
As for Cheltenham, I guess when moving from Mansfield, Bradford is somewhat closer so there may have been some personal reasons, as well as perhaps they felt that Bradford have more potential and will get big crowds.

It's crap though, Mickey says he wants to play at the highest level, so rejects the league 1 club!

Oh and Rory isn't yours until you pay us a transfer fee, he's under 24 and signed to us

Didn't quite get this right, you actually get a free ticket for the next home league game. To be fair the club have always had a pretty decent home record, so this probably isn't as bad for the club as it seems.

Shrewsbury are now the bookmakers favourite for league 2, possibly on the basis of them signing Grant Holt. I don't know how come they have £170K to pay for players and we just get free transfers. I guess it might backfire though if he doesn't do well for them, but he is still the right side of 30.
I suggested Tyler by the way on the Bradford City message board and others thought he would be a good signing. We have just one goalkeeper now with Rhys Evans who played a bit for us last season and isn't that good really. I think we're hoping for a loanee.
