I must admit that it wasn't as bad as I was expecting. But still nowhere near as good as Jeff Buckley.

John Cale's version, used in Shrek is the best version anyway.

Out of the two Alex was better and should win.
But IMO it's hard with this song because everyone is going to be compared to Jeff Buckley which is the best version by far!!

Alex has been my favourite on here since about week 4. She is better than Leona in my opinion. If she hasn't won it will be a travesty of justice.

I agree that Jeff Buckley's voice is better suited to the song. So would be Tom Waits. It needs that kind of voice in my opinion.

JLS were closer to other versions according to posters on other forums. Alex was a bit to deep-voiced.

Alexandra's version was brilliant.
I can't bear the song - but I LOVED that version of it.
Alex HAS to win.

JLS were closer to other versions according to posters on other forums. Alex was a bit to deep-voiced. Hence why they took it up a key to make it more suitable for a female vocalist.

John Cale's version, used in Shrek is the best version anyway. My favourite version is Rufus Wainwright's. Go Alex!!! Mel - Alex is boring? She has a zillion times the personality of Eggnog or JLS and especially Leon!

I just think that Hallelujah is an odd winners song choice.
With Leona and Leon, OK they covered a song but I don't think they were that well know. So they was nothing to compare them to.
Were as Hallelujah is a world famous song.
EDIT - I would also like to add that I quite like Damien Rice's and Rufus Wainwright's as well.

It's never been a hit and to be honest it's not THAT well-known. I mentioned it to 2 people and they'd never heard of it.
