Great reading this thread through this morning. Shame JLS couldn't do it at the end - they were outstanding. Good on Alex though, she deserved to win, although, yes, I still think she's boring. Her final four performances were all ballads and she's more than capable of doing upbeat numbers.

I hope the cd single has "Listen" as a b-side. It'd be ace if they had the Beyonce duet on. Hmv has a pre-order for Alex's album where you get a free 5-track live cd! They have a release date of March though! Have they abandoned the idea of working on artists for the best part of a year I wonder? It helped Leona but did nothing for Leon, and it also meant that the other acts couldn't do anything until the winner had released. hmv.com/hmvweb/displayProductDetails.do?ctx=280;-1;-1;-1;-1&sku=917476

That struck me as being rather odd.
Apparently it happended with Leona?
Strange that quite a few of the retailers have it listed. I hope they don't rush Alexandra, but i like the idea of the live CD getting a release.

Yep, me too. I still have most of Leona's live tracks from "other" sources, as otherwise, you'd never get to hear them again. Alex isn't on iTunes yet. ![:(](//storage.proboards.com/999290/images/xKFbNBMdczwHHIvwbxXw.gif)

I never understood why it took ten months to put together an album. Surely they could line up material for each of the three finalists already and know what kind of sound they want from them. I never understood why a four month turnaround meant a naff album of covers and shoddy tracks.

Viewing figures sound ok, but you do wonder what the other 40 million people are doing on a saturday night? They aren't down the pub, as they're all closing down!

Same thing they're all doing every other hour of primetime I guess! Look at Christmas Day too. EastEnders and Doctor Who only manage 14 million. The other 46 million are presumably playing charades?
