Welcome to the FOOTBALL PREDICTA GAME 2008/09 You have to predict whether you think ten games from the Premiership, Championship or lower leagues will be a Home Win (HW), Draw (D) or Away Win (AW). Once you have decided on your predicted outcome you must rank from 1-10 on how confident you are of this prediction. You will give a 10 for the prediction you are most confident with and 1 for the prediction you are least confident with. You must give 10 different rankings of 1 to 10. Each number between 1-10 can only be used ONCE. You will score 10 points for a correct prediction, this will then be multiplied by your confidence level. So 10 x 10= 100 points if you gave a 10 for that correct result. If you give the game a confidence level of 4, you’ll receive 10 x 4 = 40 points etc. If your prediction is incorrect you will lose 1 x your confidence level. Therefore, if you predicted a HW with a confidence level of 10 and you are incorrect you will lose 10 points. So points can be won and lost in each game! The games will be randomly selected from those played on a Saturday only. DEADLINE: At the time of the kick-off of the first game in the predictions (3pm unless stated). Monthly winners so far this season: Aug/Sep: Maximo Mark, 1782 pts Oct: Robin, 1463 pts Nov: Earl Purple, 1056 pts Dec: Robin & Tom, 1706 pts Jan: Maximo Mark, 1238 pts Prediction weeks in this thread (all Saturdays): February 7 February 14 (FA Cup week => mainly lower-league games) February 21 February 28 March 7 (FA Cup week ==> mainly lower-league games) March 14 March 21 March 28 (Internationals!)

Postponed Match
Charlton v Cardiff has been postponed due to the adverse weather. Future postponements are likely to follow... would remaining players please leave out the Charlton-Cardiff match, and predict on the rest from 2-10.
Those of you have already predicted, you don't have to do anything; I will bump up your priorities accordgingly.

Knew i should have gone for a draw in the Chelsea-Hull game...The only thing that stopped me was Hull's dodgy form lately. Going for a draw in the Everton-Bolton game looks rather foolish too!
Was expecting a low score this week (was going to mention that when i predicted), actually feared a negative score if any more games had been postponed!
