This week's fixtures
Six games from the Premier League and four from the SPL to knock yourselves out with, none of them involving the Big Four or Glasgow teams. Some of these teams will still be on full tilt, some have nothing left to play for... The deadline is back to normal: predictions in by 3pm on Saturday 16 May, SVP.
Bolton v Hull Everton v West Ham Middlesbrough v Aston Villa Newcastle v Fulham Stoke v Wigan Tottenham v Man City Falkirk v St Mirren Hamilton v Motherwell Hearts v Dundee Utd Kilmarnock v Inverness CT

Thank you to Fulham for performing for me this week, as well as Everton and Tottenham for drawing as I predicted.

Saturday 16 May
H8 Bolton v Hull D2 Everton v West Ham A9 Middlesbrough v Aston Villa A6 Newcastle v Fulham H10 Stoke v Wigan H4 Tottenham v Man City H3 Falkirk v St Mirren A5 Hamilton v Motherwell H7 Hearts v Dundee Utd D1 Kilmarnock v Inverness CT
This is a surprise, a risk on AV to actually win!
Falkirk to win and remain in SPL
Stoke to keep their home fortress like reputation and
Bolton to beat Hull?

This is where the predictions get really difficult, as we get crap teams fighting tooth-and-nail against good teams who have nothing to play for. I'll get splinters if I'm not careful...
Bolton v Hull HW 5 Everton v West Ham HW 7 Middlesbrough v Aston Villa D 3 Newcastle v Fulham D 2 Stoke v Wigan HW 10 Tottenham v Man City HW 9 Falkirk v St Mirren HW 6 Hamilton v Motherwell D 1 Hearts v Dundee Utd HW 8 Kilmarnock v Inverness CT HW 4

I got 4 right but they were all low ones so I've done dreadfully. Thank you Stoke, Tottenham, Kilmarnock and St Mirren though.

RESULTS: MAY 16th1. Frag 396 2. paddy 297 3. Robin 275 4. Maximo Mark 264 5. misterhamster 231 6. Andy 220 7. Earl Purple 88 Frag wins by a healthy 99 "flake" points! Earl Purple is way out behind, 11 short of that chocolatey total. MAY TABLE (3/4)1 [5] Frag 924 2= [1] misterhamster 913 2= [2] Robin 913 4 [4] paddy 847 5 [3] Earl Purple 693 6 [7] Andy 649 7 [6] Tom 440 8 [-] Maximo Mark 264 Frag is marginally ahead of mrh and Robin at the top. And with just one week left, the gap at the top has finally become uncloseable, which means... Congratulations to ROBIN - Haven Predicta Champion 2008/09[/size]

It's still very close behind Robin... these are the season-long standings with one week to go: 1 Robin 11009 2 Earl Purple 10052 3 misterhamster 9953 4 Andy 9910 5 Frag 9744 Pressure's on Since there will have been 40 weeks this season, a 10,000 total represents an average of 250 per week, which is very respectable indeed.

8 H Arsenal v Stoke 3 D Aston Villa v Newcastle 2 D Blackburn v West Brom 7 H Fulham v Everton 10 A Hull v Man Utd 6 H Liverpool v Tottenham 5 H Man City v Bolton 9 A Sunderland v Chelsea 1 H West Ham v Middlesbrough 4 D Wigan v Portsmouth
I don't think Tottenham can win at Anfield, they need to to have any chance of catching Fulham, but I think Fulham can beat Everton anyway. Villa need to win to get 5th spot back but I think Newcastle will grind out a point which is what they need if Hull lose. Which they will.
