African 2nd round, Group 6: LIBERIA 0-0 ALGERIA SENEGAL 1-1 GAMBIA A dramatic finish in this group as Gambia's late equaliser in Dakar saw them snatch 2nd place and eliminate Senegal. Algeria finish top of the group despite being held by bottom side Liberia. African 2nd round, Group 11: TOGO 6-0 SWAZILAND (played in Ghana) Togo had to win otherwise they were out. Their crushing victory sees them progress along with Zambia. Emmanuel Adebayor scored 4 despite reportedly refusing to play earlier in the week. Togo avoid being the first 2006 finalists to be eliminated. That dubious honour now looks like falling to Angola who are set to miss out even if they win their final game against Niger tomorrow. 1. Zambia 4-7 (+1) 2. Togo 4-6 (+5) 3. Swaziland 4-4 (-6)

They're 4 points clear at the top and 8 points clear of 5th place. Argentina end a run of 4 draws (6 if you count friendlies) with a win over Uruguay. They were out before their final match against Niger meaning their win served no purpose other than to eliminate Uganda with them. Uganda would've qualified had they finished 2nd in the group. 1.
