Hi Everyone
I've been a member on here for just over a year but only recently started posting quite a bit and though it was about time to introduce myself and let people konw a bit more about me.
I'm Iain, I'm 39 and live in a small village called Pilsley (hence the name) which is near Chesterfield in Derbyshire. I'm gay and currently single and have lived in my current house for just under 4 years.
I'm originally from Newcastle-on-Tyne and still visit fairly regularly as my parents still live in the north east. I moved to Sheffield in 1996 to be with my then partner, then to Chesterfield in 2003. We broke up in 2006 which is when I got the house I am living in now.
I first became interested in music in 1984 after I had seen the Ghostbusters video on TV. I was 13 at the time and I just had to buy it. I can remember going into Newcastle one Monday after school and going to HMV - The single cost me £1.35. After that there was no looking back!
I started following the charts soon after and started writing them down from the start of 1985 - I still have all the books! I used to buy mostly chart music and still have most of my 7 inch and CD singles. I continued to buy music until the early 2000's when I got a little bored of the charts and the music that was around at the time. However this did not last long and I was back downloading (legally) by about 2007.
I am now back following the charts on a regular basis. I download most of my music from Amazon or Play. I have a vary varied taste in music but tend to stick to artists in the charts. Favorites include Abba, Pet Shop Boys, REM and Lady Gaga to name but four. I found this site last December when I had searched on the internet for the year end singles chart from the previous year. I was pleasantly surprised by the info on this site, particularly the sales data.
Music aside, I follow Sheffield United - I was a season ticket holder for 12 years but have not been for a couple of years now due to financial constraints!, I do a fair bit of jogging and have done 6 half marathons in the last 3 years and, as I have never grown up, am still a big Lego fan, especially the modular buildings that are available these days.
I've probably rabbited on too much but hopefully some of you found it mildly interesting. Anything else you want to ask, please feel free.

Who is your favourite artist/band ever? There are a few contenders, but I would have to say overall it was ABBA. As a child of the 70's they were sort of part of my childhood, even though I wasn't really into music much then. In the late 80's they released a double CD of greatest hits called 'Absolute Abba' which I still have to this day - This was before ABBA gold came out. Since then I have colected all of their studio albums. Favorite ABBA song? Well it normally depends how I feel and it usually between Dancing Queen and Winner Take It All.

I'm just glad you're not a Cheaterfield football fan As I'm a Mansfield Town supporter. Blades are struggling this year, one of the dads from footy is a fan, and he's not pleased at the mo. However you are above the Wednesday I also want to take in your ground in sometime, as I haven't been there yet

Mansfield were doing ok at the start of the season but have fallen away a bit since then which is a shame. One of my mates is a Town fan so I hear all the moans and groans from him!
Bramall Lane ground doesn't look too bad these days although is general only about two thirds full!
Utd have been above the Owls for a number of years now - lets hope it remains like that for many more years!!

Not, I've not really followed their solo careers, but I did buy Agnetha's "My Colouring Book" back in 2004!

It's got to be Monopoly! I loved playing it as a kid, although my sister always used to be the banker and cheat like mad! I even used to create my own monopoly boards using streets in my local area. I don't play it much now though as I can be a bit competitive and no one will play with me

For no other reason than I don't like the taste.

Good Question!
I don't own all of Kylies albums so I will rank some based on of the songs I know from each album. Also, I tend to prefer some of Kylies older songs, especially the PWL stuff, which has been reflected in my list.
1 - Enjoy Yourself 2 - Kylie 3 - Rhythm of Love 4 - Fever 5 - Lets Get To It 6 - Aphrodite 7 - Light Years 8 - Kylie Minogue 9 - Body Language 10 - X 11 - Impossible Princess

Do you have any obsessive habbits?

Not particularly, although I do like to hack at my spots from time to time, not that I have many these days! I can be a bit anal with my finances I suppose as well - I do a spreadsheet each month of my incomes and expenditures. More careful and common sense rather than obsessive though!

Its got to be Friends. when it first came out I though it was rubbish but when I eventually decided to watch an episode, I was hooked.
I have seen all of the episodes many times and annoy people by coming out with the punchlines before they happen!
The first 3-4 seasons are te best.

Did you buy The Rembrandts I'll Be There For You ? Would you put the main characters in order of preference ? What happened in your fav Friends scene ever ? Did you watch the Joey spin off,and do you think a spin off of a different character might have worked ?

I still have the Rembrandts "I'll be there for you" on CD single My favorite characters in order are:- Joey Chandler Phoebe Monica Rachel Ross My favorite scene is from the episode "The one where everybody finds out" from season 5 - The part where Chandler and Phoebe try to pretend they both want to have sex with each other. My favorie intro is from the episode "The one with the race car bed" from season 3 - This is the one where Ross is telling a story and the other characters have different thoughts www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_qOR0p0KTgI did watch the very first episode of Joey but it wasn't very good and never watched another one. I don't think any spin off would have worked.
