The fact that Man City have got such a short recovery time from the Europa League match on Thurs (only got back at 5am yesterday morning) negates the fact they're one of the big 4 for me. Plus was quite encouraged by what i saw in that EL game... If we'd kept a clean sheet and won 3-0 the other night and didn't have injury concerns i would really have fancied our chances...But as it is i'll go for 1-0 to City.
No expectations of a result in big games like this is always preferable anyway.

I wonder if we'll have a Man Utd vs Man City final.
Given that Bolton and Stoke aren't that far from Manchester either wouldn't it make sense for the semis to all be played somewhere up there rather than Wembley?

I'll confidently predict that wont be the case as the draw has been made: Full semi-final draw Manchester City v Manchester United Stoke v Bolton

In spite of being one of the oldest clubs, Stoke City have never played in an FA Cup Final.
Bolton last played in one in 1958 when they beat a depleted Manchester United team who had suffered the Munich Air Crash that season.
Man City last played in an FA Cup Final in 1981 but lost. Man Utd's last final was 2007 but that one they also lost. They last won in 2004 and Manchester City in 1969.

Well done to raliverpool, who takes all the points, and extends his lead at the top, can anyone catch him?

I wonder if we'll have a Man Utd vs Man City final. Given that Bolton and Stoke aren't that far from Manchester either wouldn't it make sense for the semis to all be played somewhere up there rather than Wembley? It definitely would, although i've never agreed with Wembley semis anyway. Listening to the Reading podcast before the game yesterday they mentioned about the possibility of Man City getting Utd in the draw made before the game (the draw should have been made afterwards, and I wasn't alone in thinking that). As soon as i heard that i knew that that would happen, especially as Man U-Arsenal was the one tie i was hoping wouldn't happen at the QF stage, would have been better in the semis or final. Likewise would have preferred a Manchester derby in the final. I was actually expecting a thrashing yesterday what with the draw giving City an extra incentive and our makeshift defence, so was pleased with the end result, not often thats the case if we've lost! Midway through the 2nd half i really started to believe it could be our day and we might take them back to the Mad Stad for a replay (which i would hope to have gone to - Sat afternoon not on TV). But it wasn't long after that they scored the winner so it may have been a kiss of death! But as it is i'll go for 1-0 to City. I even said on the Reading forum that it would be a goalless first half as well! Though i didn't get the scorer right (Tevez).

FA Cup Predicta wont be happening for the semi finals as I am going away for 10 days or so. I may try and do something for the final, which involves other predictions as well, will have to see.
