28 Days Later (2002) 🔁❤️
One of my all-time favourites for the first time seeing it on the big screen. Loved it

Had booked to see it straight after work yesterday (hence me rewatching all four in two nights) but was just too knackered. GOing tomorrow morning instead. Half term here I come!

"La La Land" as part of the Sheffield Showroom's "Not Just Ken" season, which I teach EVERY year to my Y12 film class, but this is only the 2nd time I've seen it on the big screen so I enjoyed it thoroughly.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) ❤️ This shoots right in as my second favourite of the Mad Max films - 4-5-2-1-3 Stunning, wasn't it? Packed full of touches of creativity and imagination. So glad I went Superscreen for it. Didn't quite reach the gloriously awesome heights of Fury Road, but it was still so good to see. There's nothing quite the Mad Max franchise. Still baffles me how they come from the same guy that brought us the Babe and Happy Feet films!

I mean, even "Mad Max" and "Furiosa" are in no way obviously by the same director despite all the overlaps. I think the only film of his that compares to the recent Maxes is "Three Thousand Years of Longing", if you caught that?

Just so colourful and imaginative and bonkers, all framed as some amazing fable.
