The GP2 Series, starting this weekend, will be supporting all F1 events from Malaysia to Singapore, and will also feature a second round in Bahrain one week after the F1 weekend.
The points system will now be the F1 points system (with 4 points for feature-race pole, 2 for fastest lap). For the sprint race, a 15-12-10-8-6-4-2-1 system will be used. The feature race will require 2 different tyre compounds to be used.

Few points to make: Shame ART are going as well as super nova. Nice to see caterham and lotus in there. See Jon palmer son has moved up having not impressed in gp3? I'm a Calado fan so will be cheering on lotus.
Asia cup and European gp2 merge this season so Malaysia opens the season instead of Barcelona. Singapore could be very interesting!
Top 5 prediction; (not in order) Garde Valsecchi Berthon Teixerio And rookie of the year Calado

I change my mind on Teixiera, thought experience would make him better but he seems as slow as he always has been.

Teixeira is and always will be terrible. Same with Gonzalez, Serenelli, Leal and Trummer. GP2 has badly out priced itself so it's no coincidence that it's flooded with pay drivers this year. Formula Renault 3.5 is where the real stars are this year (I.e. Bianchi, Bird, Rossi, Korjus, etc).
And Palmer was in GP2 with Arden last year not GP3. He has always struggled in his first season in a category and then got better in his second year.
I would say Nasr is up there with Calado for rookie of the year. He was very impressive in British F3 last year. Gutierrez and Ericsson should be strong this year

Rubens didn't shine then. Sato is where expected. Hoped Legge would do well but ah well. I forgot Bourdais was still in this series.

She seems really nice but I've never been convinced by Katherine Legge's speed, unfortunately, though she did manage to outqualify Bourdais, who is her team-mate this year. Her appearance in Indycar this year does seem to hint at the powers-that-be wanting a replacement for Danica Patrick.

Legge is an obvious replacement for Danica. They both are the two well known female drivers, having done photoshoots together before. Legge I think is quicker then Danica, and Bourdais is far from his best years in all fairness.

Danica wasn't great on road/street courses but was pretty good on the ovals. I felt Simona de Silvestro could be better than Danica but she didn't really progress last year. Don't know where Ana Beatriz has gone and team bosses have finally realised Milka Duno was simply awful. Hopefully Pippa Mann will get some race time again this year.

Legge was a mid field runner in DTM. Which was consistent.

What are you talking about? Legge was always at the back in DTM.

Whenever I looked at DTM results (which was about twice a year as it's a rubbish series in recent history) she was mid field, but then may be due to retirements.

Will Davidson won race 3, Whingecup won race 4.
Tander has been docked 25 points for a crash on Reynolds which was unseen to cameras I believe.
On to Hamilton in 16 days time.
