Oh and any queries with the above scores, just let me know. Different type of query, something that occurred to me the other day. Why are we not using 10s and 9s for the group games? Going by using 8-1 as we are that would mean using 4-1 for the QFs which i'm assuming isn't going by the case, so It may explain the lower scores... Going along the same lines ..... With it being the Quarter Finals .... what about predicting the results at half time & 90 minutes for the four games, hence you have your 8 predictions the same as for the three rounds of group games?

I did it 1-8 as there are 8 games, in the footy predicta we have 10 games, so that is 1-10. The scores will be lower, but I dont see that as a problem, in some ways I guess it keeps the scores closer together? Not sure about predicting on the half times as well as full times, guess we can see what other people think about it. The scores were always going to diminish, like in the fa cup predicta.

This is more similar to cup predicta than Footy Predicta though. My point was that in say the QFs of the FA Cup predicta we had 10-7 before so that's what i did at the same stage last season, and that is presumably what it will be for the Qfs of this Euros predicta. Just don't understand why we would be having 10 in the knockout stages and only 8 as top prediction in the group stages where there are more games.
I remember there was one week in the cup predicta last season when everyone assumed it was 8-1 one week, but having started with 10-1 in the earlier rounds i'd rather keep the 10 all the way through for continuity really, but also in the overall leaderboard it would make it more static and so less interesting otherwise. I also don't want people to get disheartened by the greater chance of having a low score.
Hope that all makes sense! I'm not trying to cause trouble, but I do believe I make a valid point and am not talking nonsense as per usual!
As for the half-time idea, not for me, would take up more time to do the predictions, and for the knockout stages i'll have less time to do those anyway

I guess we could do the ratings for the quarters as 8 7 6 5 to try and keep the points high, sometimes though it just means more negative scores for some of us I'm not keen on the half time idea, and we will still have 260 points in the quarters and 130 in the semis. Will there be a 3rd/4th play off do we know?

As for the half-time idea, not for me, would take up more time to do the predictions, and for the knockout stages i'll have less time to do those anyway How long does it take you? Less than it would do for fa cup predicta or regular footie predicta but still long enough. Hence why I have been known to be a bit late in posting my predictions on occasions I can't believe it takes some people only a couple of mins, even in the days when I didn't put much thought into it it took longer than that! Though I was more thinking of how much opportunity I have to do them. I'm rarely online at all weekday evenings, especially when the Euros/Wimbledon are on, and don't really have time to come on here on a normal weekday other than a Friday afternoon sometimes, which makes it a bit difficult to find the time to predict the knockout games - the QFs and SFs anyway.

Bonus points for correctly predicting the Italy v England score and the consequent Sun headline ?
(Anything for me to recover from Round 3's miserable performance).
