As an aside, neil's Traffic cover was nearly the second number 1 for Dave Stewart & Barbara Gaskin...he produced and played synths, she did backing vocals.
(wonder whether that would have got it more points)

Can't argue with this at all. "Agadoo" a long way adrift of the rest of the field, which is precisely where it should be.
I think the relatively low scoring reflects the absence of any real classics from the list, but "Wild Boys" is a very worthy winner.

A very average year.
Duran Duran as good as any of them plus I liked Cyndi Lauper and Nik Kershaw.
