Welcome to FOOTY PREDICTA 2012/13
The rules are simple:
· Every week, ten matches are selected from the Saturday fixture list, usually from the Premier League and Championship. · You have to predict whether you think each game will finish in a home win (HW), draw (D) or away win (AW) · Then, rank from 1 (least confident) to 10 (most confident) how confident you are on each prediction. Each number from 1-10 can only be used once. · Correct predictions: you score 10* your confidence level (HW 4 + home win = 40 pts) · Incorrect predictions: you are penalised by your confidence level! (HW 4 + draw or away win = -4 pts) · Predictions must be submitted by kick-off for each game (this is usually 3pm on the Saturday)
If someone is late or matches are postponed:
· If you are late, you can still predict for late kick-offs, but you must use only your lowest ranks (e.g. if there are 3 games left, you can only use 1, 2 or 3) · If a match is postponed, then that week will be played with only 9 matches, but predictors use ranks 2-10 (i.e. only the lowest rank is lost). Further postponements are treated in a similar way. · If more than half of the matches in a week are postponed, then the gameweek is cancelled and no points are scored. The game begins on SATURDAY 17 AUGUST and will continue until the end of the Premier League season in May 2014.
Good luck!
Any problems with your scores, please just let me know.
Also, if you are going to be away for any length of time, just let me know and you can have the fixtures in advance, and I'll post up your predictions for you.

Right, this is going to start on the 3rd AUGUST, with Championship predictions for the first two weeks, until the lazy arse Premier league starts on the 17th August! Not really a case of the Premier league being a "lazy arse". They normally start that weekend. Blame the Championship for starting so early! Something about wanting an extra round of weekend games. Still seems too early but can't complain as wouldn't be able to get to a Reading game in August otherwise (going to Reading-Ipswich on opening day so glad you've picked that). As for playing, I presume I will be but don't know whether i'll do the first 2 PL weeks yet.
