LCD's techno small-ish hit 'Zorba's Dance'. Particularly fun if you're on an emotional high. Not so fun Monday morning.

Great funky beats, smooth vocals and quite summery. Banderas 'This Is Your Life'

Totally forgotten dance track from Hondy 'No Access'. Not sure why she is singing about herself.

I remember and like that Banderas track: the follow up, "She Sells" was pretty decent too.

The Banderas were the Bananarama to The Communards' Fun Boy Three.
Meanwhile, better red than dead...

Did I mention I recently acquired that Scarlet Fantastic single on red vinyl for 99p in the Oxfam shop in Ruislip? I have no memory of saying it, etc.

I have the Scarlet song on a Now album as well. I really have forgotten all their other songs though.

I love (and own copies of) both the Scarlet and Scarlet Fantastic singles. The latter was released (I think) on at least three occasions, and really should have been a lot bigger, it's great.
Scarlet came to (relative) prominence after winning, five weeks in a row, the "demo clash" on Gary Crowley's show on GLR. (Dodgy were another act to do this). The track they entered, "Piccadilly In The Rain" was also rather fine (there is a non-demo version on Youtube with pretty hideous production, but the quality of the song shines through; while their other hit, "I Want To Be Free" was also fab. As in fact was the B-side of ILS. A group I'd hoped for much more of...

The last two are both great especially Scarlet Fantastic, not forgotten at allbut if thats the kind of level we are at now. Big Dish - Miss America.
Cant find the proper video anywhere,it used to be on YouTube and you cant download the song or buy the album it came from, very strange as their older stuff is available. They have had loads of songs just as good if not better but this was their only hit.

If you asked 100 people in their thirties about Scarlet's biggest hit I bet they wouldn't remember. I don't remember the last time I heard it played.

I like "Miss America" too: really annoying that their material from that period is now unavailable (different record label, EMI I think, to their earlier stuff.)
One of several really fine singles from SBH

I heard this 1986 UK #37 hit on the Radio (BBC Radio 6 Music) for the first time in what seems like over two decades last week:
And I saw this video of this 1989 UK #43 hit (co-penned by Johnny Marr) on Vintage TV this week:

Jinny borrowing the vocalist from Corina for the catchy 'Wanna Be With You'. Not as good as 'Keep Warm' but a decent effort
