Can't believe Joseph didn't get through again, especially when that awful blonde woman did Having not watched the series until tonight, I don't really know where the big shocks are, but the boys category was mostly right, but would have put through that Paul guy over the greasy-haired one. I hope tomorrow's lot are better than tonight's though...

I think the boys are very weak this year, and as for the over's - I agree, why on earth did Sharon put through that awful blonde woman?!
Robbie didn't look overly impressed with any of them .....

Paul and Joesph would have been complete no brainers for me. Although it's not because of Joseph's vocals, more the fact he'll pick up the horny housewife vote and has been so prominent. I couldn't recall much about the two that Sharon put through that weren't Sam.

Didn't he almost make the Top 75 with a self-released single after he got rejected last year? Would have thought that would show them there was interest in him (since self-released stuff from rejects doesn't usually even do that well...)

Yep, shocked that Joseph didn't get through considering the show's demographic. Sharon now has two similar big diva women splitting their potential votes whilst Louis seems to have shot himself in the foot in the same way by not adding a belting voice to his 'girls will fancy them/mums will want to mother them' three.

Are they going to have wild cards this year? If so, they need to get Melanie back! I can't believe they've dumped her so many times!

So far, I can only see Nicholas in the final, but after the show he will go the road of Joe McElderry, sadly.

Wikipedia has some info already:
A number of artists are being lined up to perform during the live shows. Cher and Ellie Goulding will perform on the first result show. Series 9 winner James Arthur has confirmed that he will perform, and Liam Gallagher said that his band Beady Eye would be performing. Barlow will also be re-launching his solo career by performing. Also reported to be performing are Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry, Mariah Carey, Susan Boyle, One Direction, Olly Murs, Robbie Williams, Beyoncé, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Britney Spears and Union J.

Be nice to see Cher and Ellie Goulding and Susan Boyle.
But Robbie Williams again. He will probably be on the swingy big band jazz type week they have.
Potentionally we are looking at possible number ones singles from any of these artists right up till christmas.
Hope the themes they have are are better than last year. Glad to see the first contest is all 80s songs but there is bound to be one that aint.

I'd add Little Mix to the list of acts who'll end up performing, JLS, and probably Cher Lloyd if her new one is coming out over here soon.

I would take the wiki article with a pinch of salt
I expect Gloria (whose new album is songs from the American songbook) to make her UK appearance on Strictly

I'd like to see Matt Cardle as a guest, really impressed with his recent singles.

I agree with you guys. From the moment I saw Luke and heard him I just thought he was another Frankie Cocossa but maybe without being an a**hole. When I said this to a friend he thought I said it because of the hair but it's not. Sam doesn't have the strongest voice and to be honest he would be better in a band but not as the lead. As said before he's only there as eye candy. Nicholas is good singer he clearly has vocals but to be fair I can't see him setting the charts alight. I can see a lot of mums and nans liking him. I would have like to have seen Paul in the final three either replacing Luke or Sam.
With the overs I agree with what you say there are two big vocalist in the overs and to be honest Shelly is just to cabaret for my liking. she could have been replaced with Joseph or Zoe. Both Shelly and Sam as said before are basically this years Tesco Mary. One album and be forgotten about. Sam might have a second.
With the girls it was a bit more difficult I can see why everyone like Tamera she has good vocals but to me she reminds me of Rihanna and after the show I can see her being styled this way. She'll be all good girl at first but then she'll get right down and dirty & will probably have similar songs to Rihanna. With Hannah I'm not sure on. Yes she has the vocals but I'm just not feeling her. That might change as the lives progress but who knows. Now Abi I like she actually had me sit and watch her and listen to her which many artists don't have the knack for like Adele. I would have like to have seen Jade get through but her and Abi are quite similar plus she also got or gets compared to Adele a lot.
Now the groups. I like Rough Copy and think they could go far but I have seen people say about them being the new JLS but I can see them being more RnB than JLS. Miss Dynamix are good vocalists but if they aren't taken or managed in the right direction it could go horrible wrong for them but if they are they could have a good career. Kingsland or Kingsland Road whatever they have called them self now they I don't know. I'm not feeling them I don't think I would have put them in my final 12. I think they could do with a bit more work but the could surprise me and people in the live shows.
Plus it's 80's week on the X Factor

Shelly will be Wagner of this season - just for a laugh and insane performance production.
