Top 48 of the FIFA rankings, for comparison: Africa: 9 (plus 49 and 50! 9th-ranked is 47) CONCACAF: 3 (6th-ranked is 69) CONMEBOL: 8 (6th-ranked is 18) OFC: 0 (top ranked is 112) AFC: 2 (8th-ranked is 84) UEFA: 26 (16th-ranked is 26) At least as it stands, this won't beat North Korea's record low ranking for a qualified team. Still, looking at this, we will get a lot of early matches which will have clear obvious winners, just like at the Rugby World Cup.

PNG need to win by 5 goals to jump to the top of the group. If they win by fewer than 5, Tahiti will remain top and go forward to face New Zealand.
