- The much sampled white soul track written by Daryl Hall and John Oates with Sara Allen, which was released as the second single from their tenth studio album, Private Eyes reaching USA #1 (R&B #1, AC #12), Canada #2, Australia #13 & UK #8.
- The Jim Steinman penned rock duet from the Dead Ringer album was produced by Jimmy Iovine. Incredibly it bombed in the USA & Canada; and peaked at UK #5, Ireland #2, & Australia #65.
- The Grammy R&B winning song was written by Bill Champlin of Chicago, Steve Lukather of Toto and producer and guitarist Jay Graydon to help fill out Benson's 1981 greatest hits album, The George Benson Collection making USA #5 (R&B #1, AC #9), UK #29, Canada #10, & Australia #21.
- This USA #103 (Rock #4) hard boogie rocker from the El Loco album was the last single released by the Texas trio until they overhauled their sound to gain major commercial success.

Eight retro rewind entries this week from:
- The rock group from Portland, Oregon fronted by Rindy Ross (lead vocals and saxophone), and her husband Marv Ross (guitars) who composed their debut USA #3 (Rock #1), Canada #6, Australia #6 & UK #49 success.
- The former Buzzcock singer's solo career started off with this new wave synth pop electronic track produced by Martin Rushent which despite being released twice, and so reaching the UK top 100, it failed to reach the UK top 75 (The song was banned by the BBC for its "explicit reference to gay sex"). In contrast it was a huge Australia #4 & Canada #6 hit.
- Recorded by Thin Lizzy frontman Phil Lynott, originally for his 1980 solo album, Solo in Soho, and co-written with Midge Ure. It was remixed to become the Top of the Pops theme music in the summer of 1981, with the result being it peaked at UK #13 & Ireland #14.
- Released as a double A-side along with "Ticket to the Moon", this electronic heavy track about the news programmes of 2095 is taken from the album Time reached UK #24 & France #4.
- This melodic rock reworked Goats Head Soup sessions outtake was the second single from the Tattoo You album, and made USA #13, Canada #17, Australia #44, & UK #50.
- This Casablanca/RSO release by the former Motown legends failed to chart in their native USA, but reached UK #16.
- The Australian pub rock band fronted by Jimmy Barnes who composed this Australia #12 with one of their loudest hard rockers, taken from their 4th studio album Circus Animals produced by Mark Opitz.
- This belated Motown UK #73 single release from the Chic produced & composed Diana album.

Is it your favourite single from Bucks Fizz ? No. It is a song which shares the same title as a single by The Killers.

Poor ABBA never got it in your chart with One of Us. Yes. Sadly a case of releasing at a really strong time period window for music, rather than the quality of the track itself.
