An epic task, don't know Sugarplum Fairy but Head Automatica were a great side project for Glassjaw Two of the lads in Sugarplum Fairy are the brother of Gustaf from Mando Diao, that's how I found them, they did quite well in Sweden and Germany but never released anything in England and I don't think they toured here Head Automatica were great though, Beating Heart Baby will be high up my list

1846. Finntroll - Trollhammaren www.youtube.com/watch?v=CJhi43RntJkFinnish Contemporary Folk Metal (Humppa) band released their Trollhammaren EP in 2004, I can't remember how I came across it but I loved it, it just reminds me of an old medieval drinking song, I entered Under Bergets Rot in Lingovision quite a while ago which went down ok www.youtube.com/watch?v=tEzuxkkGyWQ

1843. Kid Rock - All Summer Long www.youtube.com/watch?v=aSkFygPCTwEI'm not a huge Kid Rock fan although I did like "Bawitdaba" from 1999 but even that was a minor hit (#41), this came from nowhere to go straight to #1, it uses two great samples in Warren Zevon's "Werewolves of London" and Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Sweet Home Alabama" and just works

1841. Franz Ferdinand - 40' www.youtube.com/watch?v=uMVOjg_WQLwFranz Ferdinand's debut album was quality, not a poor track on the album, this was the closing track and could easily have been a single, their Haven Factor mentor really is spoilt for choice

1840. Tenacious D - Friendship www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPCyUbgJuSoAnyone who has a passing interest in my personal chart over the years will know I'm quite partial to a good indie rock/comedy crossover Weird Al Yankovic, Flight of the Concords, Ninja Sex Party, Tenacious D, Electric Six, Steel Panther etc. This one was from their debut album

1838. The Bluetones - Baby, Back Up www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUFWsXrPLzQFrom their 2006 self titled album, despite favourable reviews the album only charted at #100 in the UK, such an underrated album and this was my favourite album track from it
