One note from the match between David Grace and Sean O'Sullivan - in frame 3, O'Sullivan (no relation to Ronnie) was on for a 147, having potted 10 reds and 10 blacks. However, on his next shot, he managed to pot two reds, ending his chances of a maximum. He went on to clear the table, but despite potting every red and every black, plus the colours, he finished on 140.

Day 2: STUART BINGHAM 10-4 DAVID GILBERT NEIL ROBERTSON 10-3 WU YIZE ALI CARTER 6-10 JAK JONES LUCA BRECEL 10-9 RICKY WALDEN Other scores: Ding Junhui 5-4 Hossein Vafaei Mark Williams 4-5 Jimmy Robertson Easy wins for former world champions Stuart Bingham and Neil Robertson. The latter had a break of 146 in his match. Two-time runner-up Ali Carter is out after losing to Welsh debutant Jak Jones, who will face Robertson in the last 16. Luca Brecel finally wins at the Crucible at the 6th attempt and avoids moving closer to the record for most Crucible appearances without winning a match, which stands at 8 by Rex Williams and Cliff Wilson.

Thought Luca Brecel was going to lose after being 9-6 ahead. Seems to happen more often than not with Luca not winning that final frame to win but a good win for him.

I laughed at Just Stop Oilβs tenacity when they glued themselves to the front door of BPβs London headquarters. I admired their dedication to an obviously just cause when they staged a sit-in on the M25. This, however, is an utterly outrageous, unjustified disruption, a major step too far. Lock them up.

"We need to stop oil! What should we do?" "Shall we protest an oil refinery?" "Or a chain of petrol stations?" "How about the snooker?" "..." "..." "..." "The snooker." "You're an idiot, Barnabas."

Day 3: DING JUNHUI 6-10 HOSSEIN VAFAEI MARK WILLIAMS 10-5 JIMMY ROBERTSON MARK ALLEN 10-5 FAN ZHENGYI Other scores: John Higgins 7-2 David Grace Robert Milkins 0-0 Joe Perry The match between Milkins and Perry was postponed when a protestor jumped onto the table and poured orange powder over it. Another protestor tried to get the other table at the same time but was stopped by referee Olivier Marteel. Play was stopped on both tables and the match between Mark Allen and Fan Zhengyi resumed after a delay of around 45 minutes. The Milkins-Perry match wasn't able to resume as the table will need to be re-clothed. They will play their first session on Tuesday night, when they were originally scheduled to complete their match, then will have to return at 9:30 on Thursday morning (when there is no morning session scheduled) to play to a finish.

As protests goes - this was right up there in the stupidity category along with them glueing themselves to the tube trains - unless it was a message to China? How much are front row tickets nowadays? Β£200 for the both of them. This would be hilarious to reflect on if it wasn't so stupid.
I didn't know who were the protestors at first. I initially thought it was the animal cruelty ones that caused disruption during the Grand National.
