"A Message To Your Heart" and "Love's Unkind" I'll pass on Message To Your Heart but Love's Unkind would be top 5 for me.

I much prefer the Donna Summer version of Loves Unkind. The Sophie Lawrence version is nice enough but it's just someone from Eastenders having a go at singing someone else's song Stevie Nicks on the other hand, I wasn't familiar with much of her solo work and this stood out immediately

After 2 weeks at the top Nine Inch Nails are replaced by Erasure, the synthtastic Love to Hate You peaked at #4 in the uk but it goes all the way to #1 in my chart which is some feat considering the competition in the top 4. Dire Straits are my highest new entry in at #23, it was probably there last good single, U2 are in at #25 with The Fly, it was a #1 single but I don't think its even the best song on Achtung Baby

Mentioned "Blue Period" was # 1 in my chart.
Almost every my # 1 from early 90s wasn't in UK Top 20 and many from them were even lower.

I do love it when a band at the time team up with a top solo artist and release something a bit different
