Riders On The Storm in my most recently posted retro chart but because T-Rex and The Who both had classics out at the same time it might not get further than #3 in my chart.

Surprised S & G's Cecilia wasn't a hit - it's one of their best tracks for me.

#950-931 What Is Life is certainly in the running for the best B-side of the 1970s. (George Harrison's original, which backed My Sweet Lord). Some more gems there from the Doors, the Undertones and the Bellamy Brothers, which just reinforces what a good decade this was for musical variety. At the moment we seem to have a bias towards the first half of the decade. It is my assumption that this is because many of the best tracks came from 1977-79, but we'll see if smokeyb agrees with me.

Late 70s continuing to early 80s has been imo the ultimate period in pop history.

Wizzard - Rock N Roll Winter
Delays prevented this song actually being released in the winter, so by the time it entered the charts
it was the end of April, needless to say that probably affected its chart position reaching only #6 in 1974.

Great track from The Walker Brothers - John had a really sexy voice.
They weren't actually related to one another at all.
