But there's a lot of anger at Blues because of the EFL's vendetta against us. Paranoia justifying an assault. vastar iner, you're better than that.

Interesting though that the media are pushing this like mad yet ignoring the one at Arsenal. London bias.

Interesting though that the media are pushing this like mad yet ignoring the one at Arsenal. London bias. The EFL vendetta against Birmingham is not a fact. It's Brummie paranoia. The media aren't pushing it like mad whilst ignoring the Arsenal incident. In fact, the Express and the Mirror have huge photos of the Arsenal incident on the back page, whilst the Telegraph and the Guardian have gone for the Birmingham one. All of them talk equally about both, as does the BBC. Your statement is just more absurd playing the victim by a Birmingham fan. As previously demonstrated on many occasions, you're capable of seeing both sides of a debate. Take off your blinkers on this point. There was no justification at all for the behaviour of the Birmingham or Arsenal fans. And whether or not the EFL chooses at some point in the future to sanction Birmingham City for financial rule breaking has absolutely nothing at all to do with the assault on a Villa player.

Moussa Sissoko assaulted Nathan Redmond three times yesterday. First by ramming his studs into Redmond's achilles, then by pushing him, and finally with a head butt. And he got away with a yellow card, and his victim was given the same penalty. And, in the past few weeks, both Pochettino and Marco Silva have rushed the referee at the end of a match, with flailing arms and a torrent of abuse. The penalty for this ? The hospitality of the Directors' Box for a week. So it isn't really surprising that the odd moronic Brummie thinks they can behave the same way. Football's authorities are incompetent cowards. For years I've been saying that they need to deal with cheating, verbal & physical abuse against referees, and violent behaviour on the pitch, in a much harsher manner. Sp*rs are pretty much immune to red cards, though. In the past three weeks alone we've had Sissoko, Rose and Kane escaping red cards for either violence or dangerous tackles.

They're right next to each other on the football page of the BBC website...

Paul Mitchell (The Birmingham fan) gets 14 weeks, it's not a lot considering he could have got six months! Think the ten year ban from all UK football grounds will hurt more but it should be a life ban

Think the ten year ban from all UK football grounds will hurt more but it should be a life ban If he's got a job, he'll probably lose that too. It would be an unusually warped employer that would want to retain his services. These bans from football grounds are almost unenforceable. Easy to get a mate to buy your ticket, and then you roll up with a hoodie or woolly hat and scarf covering much of your face.

I agree there was no justification. And I give Grealish all the credit I can muster for not making a big deal of it. Sling the perpetrator out of the game for good and I think he got off lightly with 14 weeks.
What I will however point out is that Bolton can't afford to pay their players, Macclesfield can't afford to pay their players, Blackpool were owned by a fraudster rapist, Coventry are owned by a company that a court said was trying to blackmail a charity, Bournemouth, Leicester, and QPR all provably broke the FFP rules and got promoted as a result, Wolves broke both FFP and third party ownership last season, and Villa are £200m in debt, in breach of FFP, and still spend £12m on two players in the transfer window.
Yet the only club that's facing a points deduction is one that spent half-a-decade being bled dry by a money-launderer and still has less debt than half the Championship.
It's a penalty for being top of the arrest league and spoiling the EFL's nice family friendly sponsorship brochures.
Oh, and the fit & proper persons test bans anyone from being a director of a club if they were in charge of two clubs that went into administration. Check out the EFL chair Shaun Harvey's record as CEO of Leeds and Bradford.

Anyway I'll just leave this video here:

Dodgy refereeing decisions nearly always favour the bigger team. Like they can't win without the help of the referees. VAR is long overdue, although even then there is no guarantee.
With regards to the title race, Liverpool won it in 1977 just ahead of Man City and Man City got their revenge in 2014. Most of the time the more experienced team ends up winning these. Arsenal stole it from Liverpool in the last game in 1989 but had they not only taken 1 point from their supposedly easy home games against Wimbledon and Derby County going into that they would only have potentially needed a draw at Anfield (and would probably have played for it and lost).

Funny how whingeing git Warnock didn’t seem to have a problem with the blatantly offside late winner Cardiff scored against Brighton.

Arsenal seem to be strangely exempt from this rule - at least this season it's been more even, with bad decisions against us often cancelled out by bad decisions in our favour in the same match. Cardiff away was like that, I dimly recall - maybe the Welsh air does something to referees' judgement...

What a terrible day for Trump loving Brexit supporting bigots who love sport. They wake up to the news that Lewis Hamilton had won the 1000th F1 Grand Prix in China (helped by Ferrari screwing themselves and demoralizing Leclerc in the process). Then this afternoon Sterling puts in another MOTM performance against Crystal Palace scoring their first two goals; only for Mo Salah to score an outrageous brilliant second goal in their first win since 2012 at home against Chelsea; after Mane had got the first. So Karma for those Chelski idiots for their chants last week & midweek as not one but two Muslims scored against them. And then this evening the near impossible has happened with Tiger Woods winning his 15th Major; his first major in over 11 years; and some 14 years since he last won the US Masters Tournament at Augusta.

Very sad news. The father of Emiliano Sala, the player who died in a plane crash over the Channel three months ago while en route to Cardiff, has died of a heart attack www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-48065204I can't help but feel that the strain and distress of losing a son must have played a part in his heart attack.
